NEW DELHI - 2015 SPOUSAL VISA APPLICANTS

Hey,
I emailed my mp last week Monday and I followed up with him today and just got to find out so I assume it takes about a week. I also ordered notes on Friday to get an idea what's going on but I'm assuming it will come in a month. Thanks I hope we don't have to wait too long also, but according to the 2014 forum July applicants are doing interview now :(

I think if you do have interview. It will beneficial as you would be able to explain your relationship face to face. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

My wife gave her medical exam with her existing passport, and also applied for her police clearance certificate.

If I have her apply to change it on passport, do they issue a new passport with new number? or the same passport number with a name change?
Is that all about changing my wife's last name that it requires just changing it on the passport?

New Passport will be issued with new Serial Number.
Although Last name is not necessary to be changed but if you want to change then you can.
If your Passport is changed then you may need to notify CIC for Update of new Passport number and change of last name.

Alternatively, if I can wait till my wife gets her PR with the existing passport and land here, and then if I want to have her name changed here in Canada, is it a too cumbersome process?

Hi my Medicals expired this Jan 30th.. I am a feb applicant!!what do I do? Should I wait or do a MP enquiry.. How do we do MPenquiry?appstatus shows in progress since October 9th..

You can verify with CIC regarding Name Change it should not be large process.

Yes you should do mp enquiry. It can shed some light into the long frustrating wait.

Hey can u help me. I recently changed my email address and I'm the sponsor. I want to update it but I don't know how to on cic website. would u know?

Congrats everyone for ppr's and dm's today.. My wife completed her remeds on 22nd jan. hopefully will hear something soon
 
Timeline- application received feb 24
Started processing-May 13
Inprogress-Oct 9th
Additional photo proof requested-Jan 12,2016
Proofs sent -Jan26
Advance Medicals done and expired on Jan 30th

All others waiting - its hard but have faith and good news will be with you all soon ..

Does the applicant get an email or only the E-cas status changes?
