My file is in process status. I'm not working. Shall I apply for tourist visa on my first anniversary?
Should I?

If you have applied for TRV before I am sure you will have the rejection letter. Go through the reason why they can reject your case? Provide all the supporting documents based on tht. This is what I did and I had got TRV. I am working so my case is different but I suggested the same strategy for 3 more people who are not working and all three got multiple entry visa for an year.

Let me know if you need any help with the documentation.

Remed done 12Jan2016.

Now the wait begins. Lets hope everyone gets a quick response.

Good luck.. you will get your DM soon :)

I had one question what if we are in some other country (other than Canada and the home country where the application is getting processed) say UK/US when they ask for re-med request from NDVO?

Can we do the medical from that country? will it reach NDVO?

there are a couple of cases like that.....the only problem with that is they ask you to get your remed done with the same doc who did it first or they do a fresh medical and upload it but don't mail it to ndvo.....so members have suggested that you will have to mail the e-medical slip to ndvo.

Based on yesterday's updates looks like there is one active VO in NDVO who was working on all the pending re-med cases and gave the DM status at one shot. Then he asked for re-meds for another set of files he has picked up newly.

God knows what the rest of the VO's are doing with the files whose re-meds are done ;) . But jokes apart I sincerely wish that you all get your DM soon and they pick the next slot of files...

I have never applied for any trv for any country. I dnt have any travel history too.
Its just I got married to NRI. And I want to be with him at least for first anniversary.
That's the only reason I want to go.
Reason for rejection are many.. Lyk I'm not workin and no travel history.
But a strong reason for acceptance is I want to be with my spouse on our first anniversary as he can't visit India..
Pls guide me about the documentation

get US visa first, i have heard that having that is a positive thing, though it dint work in my case :P ;).
for canada trv apply well in advance if ur anniversary is in april apply in feb. they take time replying back
also u can attach a copy of 10000 CAD draft to show financial stability
and show as many ties with india as possible, get a leave letter from office, assets in your name also helps......

all the best

You might be having good chances of getting TRV when you show good ties to Back homes. But at the end of the day , luck matters too

For my wife , TRV rejected two times . She have a travel history to two countries , Had Job , Financial ties Etc , but they rejected every single time with a Reason -- " Family Ties " -- Luck Matters .. But Keep trying . Gud Luk
