hi

i dont think NDVO reply back to every email they get, you only get a computer generated response that they have got your email and will email if they need any more information. if they started replying back to every email they received, that is what they will end up doing with their time.. have patience, if they need something they will ask and will give you time to revert back to them.........

We are Feb 25th 2015 applicants
Got IP status on 9th Oct
My spouse's med expired on 12th Dec 2015 and we havent received any remed request yet.

Do we need to worry? Or we are on the same page with everyone on this forum?

I am currently in India and also went to NDVO last month but they did not even talk to us. They said all communication will be and should be via email only

There's no need to worry. You never know they could be working on your file right now.
You could wait till March and if you still don't hear from them till then, then apply for notes.

Dear Forumites,

Hope everyone is doing good. I've recently become a Canadian PR on 5th Aug2015 now I am travelling back to India to get married in Feb2016.

After marriage I plan to sponsor my would-be wife under Family class sponsorship.

I ve gone through various threads here and checked CIC official website but still i have few queries n i ll be obliged if anybody can share their views on these doubts of mine:

1. I worked in Toronto for most of my stay but because of 1month leave I had to quit to come back to India for marriage, as I understand in sponsorship approval they ll also scrutinize my financial ability to support my future wife.

My query is wt weightage this "employed status" has in SA, is it like black n white that if no job no approval kinda thing. I do have sufficient funds available (over CAD 13000) in Canadian bank account, which i ve kept aside for times in need.

2. The application process queries:

a. Total fee in CAD: $75(sponsor) + $475 (application fee) +$550 (RPRF)
do i pay all 3 fees online in advance and send receipts along with application to CPC-M ??
Or do i pay RPRF later when its being asked for (is RPRF paid online or through DD)??
Any other fee to be paid apart from these?

b. As i understand Medicals for my spouse and PCC has to be done in advance and has to be included in the app.
is it correct?
do they require medicals for Sponsor also??

Look forward for your valuable inputs.

Thanks everyone n wish u all faster processing in 2016 (hope LIBERALS prove wt they promised :) )

1) Having a job or having savings is not required to be shown but it will help how you are willing to support your spouse. The only requirement for SA is that sponsor hasn't been or is bankrupt nor applied for any social assistance.

2) It is a advised from us and from CIC to pay the entire fees together online and send the receipt along with the applicant - that is the complete fee and should be submitted to avoid any delays and there will be delays if you pay partial fees

Yes medicals is done in advance and is valid for a year so it is suggested to do the medicals right before sending since they will ask for re-medicals if they are expired by the time the file is processed.

Thank you Prforme, we'll they haven't asked for remed yet! But I was just wondering because when my husband did his first meds it took us 2 months because they asked for sputum test. Which that took 2 months.

And they asked for my daughters pictures because when I sent in my application my daughter was just born... also they asked for her birth certificate with both my husbands name and I.

That's all

Liberals keeping there promises and committed to reduce spouse processing. . Check this out
