Processing time - 26 Months

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/

I personally think it won't change anything.

You can still view all the stats by visa office by downloading the excel spreadsheet from open.canada.ca. Link is here: http://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/427337d0-7c36-4fed-8428-c6a63f8c19b3
If it doesn't work just do a search for document "Permanent Resident Applications Processed Abroad and Processing Times" I think it's updated quarterly.

In the spreadsheet select category "spouses and partners" from the drop down menu (or whatever category you want) and you can see tons of stats from each visa office in the various tabs on the spreadsheet. In addition to 80% processing times they will also show 20% and 50% times (50% would be more an "average" of that visa office) as well as total number of apps that visa office processes, accepts and rejects per year.

processing times were 18 months as they updated the system recently. it shows 26 months now for outland sponsorship. is it something to be worried about or an error sort of? because outland and inland cant be of same processing times. the spreadsheet that the CIC maintains has loads of info. But still is it something to be worried about? :(

Don't worry. 70-80% of the applications are still completed within 12-13 months as per the stats .26 months doesn't seem realistic. Might be a system error or something.Hope it helps.

Thank you. AOR 2 - When visa office send email to the PR applicant asking to send medical, PCC and fees i guess.

Does medical received means PR application is in process already ?

Hello guys,

I have applied for my wife spouse visa in February 2015
We had only court marriage no hindu ceremonial marriage.
Last evening I received email frm immigration office stating they need hindu marriage ceremony proof and also other function photographs which did not take place.
They have given me 30 days to reply.
Currently my wife is with me on visitors visa in Canada.
Can anyone guide me what can be done in this situation.
I will appreciate the reply.

Sorry but urs timeline shows 2012..( I assume it's your time line an not ur wife's )

You can clearly tell them you don't believe in ceremonies an hence had simple court marriage. How ever if there was any reception hosted thn u can send the photos of the reception,
- party hall booking confirmation,
- other bills like food bills.
- to add more value to this you can get signed letter from d place (party hall) where the event took place and state that ..... event took place in ...... place on .... Date. There were ...... Number of people who attended the event.
- you can also get hand written letter signed by your parents, family that they attended your court marriage that happen on ..... Date.
- a letter from the registar office also will be added advantage.
- additionally do tell them that ur wife is currently staying with you, attach scan copy of passport with visa showing the entry to canada, boarding passed, at least 10 to 20 photos of places u visited together.
- if you attended any get together with friends them take that pic an also ask them you give a signed letter.
- any phone bills or additional proof which u feel relevant can be given.

A good post by ROB_TO

"Everyone should really stop thinking that the new posted times are actually real times. They are not. There is no way an application for someone from say the US, will take as long as someone from say Pakistan. The communication between CIC and the US is very quick and easy, while with other countries there are long delays in getting security and background checks done. So by simply giving a 1-time-for-all on the website, I would say that time is pretty much completely useless and you shouldn't even bother looking at it. People should still see quick processing times from certain visa-exempt offices, and longer processing times from others.

I would suggest to keep an eye on the excel file i linked to from the opencanada government site, and hopefully they update is shortly. With this file you can see the actual stats and times for each office."

Hello everyone

I just came back From Canada after 3 and half years to get married. I have got my provincial nomination (PNP) approved from Manitoba Canada. I have already submitted my application for permanent residence to the Federal Government in the month of April. I have done my Medical last month and they have received my medical result as well, hopefully i m getting married by next month. Can any one from this Forum suggest me what will be the best option for me to bring my spouse with me.

Every suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thanx

best way is to apply for dependent work visa since you are not already a pr, also it takes less time than pr spouse visa...........
