Hello everyone

I just came back From Canada after 3 and half years to get married. I have got my provincial nomination (PNP) approved from Manitoba Canada. I have already submitted my application for permanent residence to the Federal Government in the month of April. I have done my Medical last month and they have received my medical result as well, hopefully i m getting married by next month. Can any one from this Forum suggest me what will be the best option for me to bring my spouse with me.

Every suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thanx
If you have submitted you applications to federal then they will send you email about submitting your passport when all your formalities will be completed . At that time they will send you email in which they will mention to add spouse or partner if married or anything like that . You can added the name of your wife if legally married ( do remember to get her pcc as you will need to send it and other supporting documents & you both will get pr together ) its quickest method to get her with you by adding her name in your pr application.

Hi ,

I got my PR in June 2015 , I am back in India now for marriage and I want to sponsor my wife after going back to Canada.

will my wife has to change her name in passport (indicating my name as her middle name instead of her father's name) Or just adding my name as spouse name would be fine ?

Thanks in advance.... looking for answer as soon as possible :(

Its really not mandatory to add your name on your wife's passport. If you really want to add make sure get medical with new passport after adding her/him name . You have to add your surname after her name and also your spouse name in her passport column thanks

I was in the same dilemma as you and I decided not to change any name or add any names on the passport. Instead, I am sending in the application and then change the names on the passport and send CIC the updates version later on. One of our family friends have done this and it works just fine. Although I might even end up not changing her name or adding any name until she is approved.

I hope I am doing the right thing. Any suggestions are welcome.

I have a bit of a concern that has been bugging me for the past couple of days. My husband went for his medical long before we even sent our spousal sponsorship application to CIC and his medical has actually expired as of December 2015.

My husband went for his medical on December 12, 2014.

CIC recieved my application for processing on March 13th, 2015

CIC started processing my application on: April 21st, 2015

CIC transferred my file to NDVO in may i guess because NVDO started processing my application on June 5th, 2015.

his medical expired in December 2015, it is now January 2016. is this a bad thing? should I be worried?

didn't you send those docs with the application package?? everyone gets that mail from ndvo even after submitting them the first time.
they don't send acknowledgement mails. did you post or email?

No.. I posted those two documents when I was asked. I was waiting for acknowledgement from them.
But as u say they don't acknowledge. Let's see now.
