If no time is wasted, as per the trend, 10-12 months from the time you applied to CIC.

The long wait is really frustrating. Is there any petition that is created about the delay in ndvo case processing?..If there is any such petition please let me know. I would like to sign it.

This common consensus is highly misunderstood.
You are not required to send any additional docs unless asked. But it doesnt hurt in any way.
In fact, depending visa officer your application might get processed faster but no guarantee.
Only less documentation makes them suspicious about your application.

Hello,

I applied for my hubby earlier this year.

When I look under the "sponsorship Screen" on the CIC website for the status of my file I see
Rec'd app March 13, 2015
processing Spril 21st, 2015
Letter of approval sent Aug 27, 2015

When I look at the "Perminant Residence" Screen on the website i see:

We rec'd _______ application for perm res. on March 13, 2015
we started processing ________ application on June 5th, 2015
Medical Results have been rec'd


how does this timeline make sense. NDVO clearly didnt rec my application in march . . . . . The acknowledgement of reciept (which was an email to my immigration lawyer... who sucks by the way) had a different date.


anyone in a similar situation ??? is this a good thing . . .does this mean NVDO is working on my application ? also can someone add me to the spreadsheet.

good luck to all of the other applicants out there. I feel your pain being away from loved ones. especially when every 2nd person asks when your husband or wife is going to come . . .or if you have heard any news about your application. it makes you angry.

anyways any input in regards to the timeline I have provided above would be greatly apperciated. I will pray that we are all united with our loved ones soon.

hi there we have pretty similar timeline keep updating if you hear anything... and dont worry about AOR or dates file received, everything looks good on your timeline as mine & even other applicants would shows same thing.... currently NDVO is working on jan 2015 files so hopefully mid of next month they will be working on march files.

I am also a Feb 11 applicant. It's good to see that January files are being worked on now. I hope they open Feb. files soon.

Status from Notes : NOT Started (Eligibility , Security & Criminality)


At the same time, my wife's company is applying for her work permit, as they were also expecting she would get her PR by OCT... however our luck with WP is also not so great

1. Internally application was stuck for 15 day - due to paper work back and forth
2. Company systems went down due to Chennai crises for 1 week
3. CIC website down from Dec 3, company needs to generate the LMIA number before they submit her passport for stamping
4. We lost the opportunity for an opening here in toronto on Dec 14

We are hoping the application moves one way (PR) or the other (WP)

Now question to the experts:
1. My wife got her medical done for the WP on Nov 27(My wife informed that it was the same set of tests.); Our Medicals with the PR application was done on Jan 3 - I assume this Medical will expire. Will CIC consider the medicals done for WP for PR as well in case Medicals done for PR expires?

2. Is NDVO closed for Christmas holidays ? for how many days

3. Request the moderator to please unblock the 2015 NDVO file. What is the point of having the file when people cannot update it.

Is there any minimum salary condition to sponsor spouse?
Do one need to pay minimum tax to Canada govt. before sponsoring a spouse?

Is there any way to expedite the PR process if candidate waiting for his/her PR gets an offer letter from Canadian Employer? If yes, then:

1) Does anyone has any idea about the process? Can anyone please share the link
2) Do we need to forward the offer letter to Delhi Immigration email id or CIC?

according to feb-notes the ndvo's in-process means sitting on the files for 10 ....and clearing it in 2 months.
