Hi All,
I have a small query, I am going to apply for PR this month.
However, i already have Travel Visa, so is it possible for me to visit my Wife in canada while my application is in process.
As it is processing time seems to be too long, staying away from her would be very difficult.

Just want to know, if somebody did that already, and if they faced any problems what so ever, while crossing Canada borders.

Thanks in advance.

Don't worry. Apply for PR as a priority.
I am currently in Canada on a TRV, similar situation as yours. Did not have any issues crossing the border. Be completely honest with the visa officer. Tell them you are visiting your wife and have applied for PR. They cannot stop you when you already have a visa, but don't say or do anything that may look suspicious to them.

Good luck

Actually, any immigration officer can prevent you from entering Canada, even if you have a visa, but as you said, they will likely not if you are truthful.

You may be right. But they need a good reason to prevent you.

Hello Supreet,

It is Passport request letter after NDVO make decision on your file. So if you are planning to apply for visitor visa and During your stay in canada if you received passport request then you will receive this letter through email. In that letter they mention that if you are already in canada then submit your passport to ottawa with this letter. So you don't have to go back to india. I already applied visitor visa for my wife and waiting for decision. If she will get it then she will come here in January and will stay up to 6 months. I am hoping that within those 6 months she will get her passport request if not then will extend her visitor visa.

Let me know if this information helpful for you.

Regards,
Vishal

Hi Guys,

Need some info on medicals.

I got my medicals done in New Delhi, and received a "e Medical Information Sheet".
Now do i have to submit an original of this along with my application, or photocopy for this statement will also work.

Please let me know at earliest.

Thanks,
Pranay.

The document checklist says Proof of Medical.

I suggest you can send the originals and keep a scanned copy for your own records.
