Hello friends,

Happy Diwali to all of you!

I applied for my wife on Jan 19th and her medical is expiring on Jan 1st 2016.
I found from 2014 forum that November applicants are getting their PPRs
Should I ask her to take appointment for medical in advance?
Little confused and around what time I can expect DM and PPR??

Thank you,
Ravi

Hi Guys,
Can someone please explain the procedure of getting PR after arriving in Canada on Visitor Visa. My friends are saying its not possible to get it when you come on Visitor Visa. You have to go back to India and then submit your password to Delhi Visa office. Can someone clarify this for me. Thanks in Advance

Hi,

We can submit our passport to CIC-Ottawa if applicant is in canada on visitor visa. We have to inform to NDVO that applicant is already in canada on visitor visa. I am copy pasting the PPR mail below for ur reference. 4th point of this letter is related to the Applicants who are residing in canada, when they receive PPR.

Dear Applicant, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence. To finalize your application, we require:

1) Passports
VFS is our trusted partner for safe and secure passport transmission. Using VFS services is the only way to submit your passport. Contact VFS in India (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india) or in Nepal (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nepal) and pay the requisite fees for the Passport Transmission Services . A separate envelope is required for each passport.
Please take this letter and present it to VFS for the purchase of the secure Passport Transmission Service. VFS will send your passport to the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi in a secure envelope. You will then be advised by VFS when your passport has been returned and is ready to be picked up.
Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.
There must be at least two blank pages in each passport.
We are unable to issue a visa beyond the expiry date in your passport. You passport must be valid for at least six months.

Hi all,

I am planning to apply for PR this month, and I am getting mixed communication about medicals.

I called up, medical centre at Panchsheel marg, delhi, they told me to get letter from embassy requiring medical.

I thought we need to get medicals done upfront and then attach "Acknowledgment form" along with my application.
Can someone please clear this confusion for me?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for all the advice so far. I was just wanting to confirm with all of you, if I can declare my engagement while filing for my spouse's PR. I landed on June 1st, 2015 and got engaged prior to that in January 2015, would be safe to declare my engagement as when I landed I signed and declared that I am not married. Does this mean I cannot be engaged or cannot declare my engagement?

Also, if someone has a similar case like mine and also if its an arrange marriage what all documents did you submit to prove your relationship is genuine? Could you kindly share the list of documents with me?

Lastly, what's the current processing time for Outland sponsorship New Delhi?

Your advice will be very much appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help

Hello,

I've noticed a recent update in data portal for CIC. According to update i found the below

Currently NDVO is processing applications received in October. Here is a breakdown on applications received till March 2015
OCT - 1012, DEC - 935, JAN - 724, FEB - 569 & MAR - 818.
Comparing to 2014 stats the no.of. applications received are almost half. So people once NDVO is clear of 2014 we can expect a rapid clear up.

Hoping for best for all of us and i am sure we are going to see a change in processing time. This update is made on 2015-11-06.

I am new to this forum. My file was logged in Canada in the month of June'15. My wife had received AOR,AOR2 and SA. In Ecas it shows the status is "in process" and the processing started on 14th August'15.

How long can be the wait time?
