Hi! I had asked in my previous post if I can start my visa process before the wedding, the reason for that is that we're getting married in the last week of Jan and have already booked our flight tickets for Canada for 21st Feb 2016. (I will be travelling on a visitor visa)
My question: Will I be able to complete my application before that time or should I get my tickets extended(Will cost a lot of money :( ) so that we can apply and leave for Canada?
How much time does it usually take to complete all the paper work?
Background - Its a love marriage with more than 2 years of phone records, pictures, emails, Whatsapp-telegram chats, facetime. I already have all these things ready with me for proofs.
Any help would be appreciated.

There are only two ways to sponsor via the outland stream - one is through marriage and other is through common-law (which you have to live continousily for one year before you can apply)

In your case its will be only the first option through marriage through you can theoretically apply now but you SHOULD wait till you are married and you cannot apply before that.

This will only strenthen your can showing your commitement and the visa officer knows our culture and marriage is a big flag.

Since you already have the visit visa it will make your wait easier. Start prepping to apply right after the wedding and you can come here to wait out the processing period.

Hi all I have one question. New meaning of in process is applicable to June 2015onwards applicants or for January 2015 onwards applicant

hi jsingh 89, by feb 2015 applicant you mean the file was reached NDVO in feb 2015 or this reflects the date of the application made (meaning it might be before feb 2015 right)?

I was just asking since was trying to track my spouses application in regards with it, i applied in May 2015 and it reached NDVO in the month of July

Thanks

As per the posts in forum , i think trend is from June 2015 as we are all still in AR/MR itself ( Jan applicant)
