How long is your wife Multiple Entry Visa is Valid till, Visitors Visa can stay until 6 months, after that you can extend your Visa by applying and request for 1 year ( It depends upon what you request) there is a $100 fee for it. Your wife can revisit now anytime if she has Multiple entry visa.

The reason am saying this is my wife came to canada in Sept 2014 , i requested for extend visa on feb 2015 and CIC gave extension until March 2016.

Thanks for reply..

She has 8 years multiple visa... due to some family reasons she went back to India last week and wants to come back in Nov mid. just worrying if border agency will create some problem like why are you coming back in a month ... or .. u know these guys.

2) You have your phone contact listed in her Phone Right?

No.. Should I add my phone number also under her contact number? while submitting her papers, we mentioned her Indian number under her forms.

My number is on my papers.

Should I update her alternate number as my or when she will return to Canada should we update her contact number?

Thanks in advance..

Hi All,

Actually I have similar question as someone else because I saw earlier similar question posted.

Anyway, all July 2015 outland applicants (New delhi visa office) My wife's PR application timeline is as follows:

Application filed: July 15, 2015
Application received by CIC Mississauga: July 16, 2015
AOR1: August 18, 2015
SA: September 15, 2015
File Transfer: September 15, 2015
AOR2: September 22, 2015

I checked my ECAS system and it currently says PR application status "in process" and SA status also "in process". When I click on PR application status it says following:

We received Mrs. (my wife's) application on July 16, 2015
We started processing your application on September 18, 2015

My question is: Have may people received similar ECAS notifications? What do they mean by "we started processing your application"? My understanding is that this means they have opened our application and are currently verifying all the documents, photos etc etc. Is this correct? If this is the case, then I am very much surprised and confused how NDVO operates. I am waiting for someone to get PPR who has similar notification in 2015. If someone does get it, then I would conclude that it is a randomized process and not a sequential process which I feel will be quite unfair to the applicants who applied before may be early 2015 or late 2014. I guess someone has to really go the NDVO office and see what are they doing and how are they doing. I think we should all write a letter to CIC complaining about outland offices on how they operate. This is not a streamlined process and the outland visa offices have to properly tell us or at least update the status from time to time and also let us know at least if it is a random process or sequential process which will help the applicants to be mentally prepared and know what and when to expect otherwise just expecting something in air does not help.

Anyone, please share opinions or comments who have have similar notifications in ECAS and if someone really knows whether it is a random process or sequential process or can explain this new strategy update status that CIC has begun. I suspect they are just playing mind games with all the applicants. Before it used to be "we received your application on this date" for like 6,7 or 8 months and after that it used to go "IP". Now, I guess they change it to immediately "in process" but still are working on prior applications. I am not sure. If it is really "in process" then whoever has similar notifications from ECAS should technically expect PPR in another 1 months or so. If that happens it would be super fast and I would be extremely shocked and surprised at the same time!

Cheers,
Vinod

Hey Vinod

I have the same issue with Ecas both applications are showing as In Process which doesn't make any sense as file is already transferred. I guess its just technical error.

Menthok its nothing to do with you being new and we are all voluntarily sharing our time on the forum so it might take sometime for a reply.

So you are seeing where the name is suppose to be its show null? what is your timeline? it would just be in the process of being updated so give it sometime

Hi everyone,

Just checked ecas status right now and it says "in process".
But there is only one line under it says "we received you application on May 8, 2015".

Please update spread sheet accordingly.

Hey Vinod,

As you mentioned the new process has changed to make the file IP once they reach NDVO but I highly doubt it they are really IP given its almost a year ahead over older applicants. If you notice the total applicant time has not decreased - its currently at 17 months and an average processing of 8-9 month; That being said I think it would still take 8-9 months to process the file once they are IP since the only change is how the IP is handled.

Of course this is just my hypothesize and could be blow out if a 2015 applicant gets a PPR which I highly doubt it.

Hey,
could you please provide detail regarding, what was the ECAS status at the time of file transferred to NDVO? Was it AR/MR or "In process" immediately after file was transferred. your help is appreciated

cheers

Hi Jini,

ECAS status was AR since filed transferred to NDVO. Since last week it was AR. But today it is showing "In Process"

one more thing my spouse completed medical upfront in April. In July NDVO ask further test which were already sent by physician in May. In Sept again he received another email for following up July medical request.
Physician says he had already submitted required result in May, so no need to worry about. Physician replied that email by saying test has been submitted. we also sent same replied to Delhi_Medical@.

My concern is why they couldn't find my spouse's updated medical report. What should we do?
