Hi Below is my Original Post which has all the info on my profile

Dear All,

Kindly help/give info.

Stage 1 CPC-M

We received your application to sponsor null XXXXXX on March 9, 2015.
We started processing your application on April 17, 2015.
We sent you correspondence on May 7, 2015 about the decision on your application.

Stage -2 NDVO
Permanent Residence

We received null XXXXX application for permanent residence on March 9, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

I waited till May 25 to receive correspondence through regular mail and When I contacted cic call centre, They confirmed nothing has been sent to me So I received my confirmation of SA via email that my application is forwarded to NDVO on June 2, 2015.
:D

Question #1 : Is it common not to receive AOR from both CPC-M, NDVO (Should I be concerned for that?) Also What should I consider my SA date the one mentioned online for May 7th or the date on which I received my SA approve through email which is June 2,2015?
Question #2 : How long does it usually takes NDVO to give AOR?
Question #3: Is it a good Idea to email NDVO to ask for status update?

Many thanks in Advance

Try checking spam or trash folder . if it's nt thr do case specific inquiry

After SA it takes max 30 days to get aor2

Hi, My wife received AOR2 email yesterday in which it was listed that if you haven't submitted landing fee or police clearance certificate please submit them, should we reply back to CIC Delhi that I have already done that? or is it unnecessary?

We have the exact same timeline man. Did you get AR2 from NDVO yet?

Hi electrolychee,

I believe my wife in India got the AR2 from NDVO. I got a separate email from the CIC on August 24, 2015 with an attached PDF saying that I was approved as a sponsor and that the file has been transferred to New Delhi for further processing.

Is your sponsorship approved yet? if not your inprocess is for sponsorship approval. It going to take a long time for your file to reach NDVO.

In fact it took a reasonable amount of time for my file to hit the NDVO. The timing is in line with other people's application ie a month or so after AOR1.

You dont have to do anything if you already sent the PCC and the landing fee with the initial application.

Dear All

I've been recently received PR , now I am going to get married in mid of November

As when I applied, I was bachelor and I am going for short visit to complete the landing formalities soon

Could please advise

1. when I would be eligible to sponsor spouse ? ( I mean after how many months once I land )

2. While sponsoring spouse , would I need to show the income ?

3. Can I come back to my home country and stay with my family while spouse PR application is under process ?

Hi rohitcan,

1 - you can be a sponsor as soon as you do your landing procedures. However, I'd wait till you get a new SIN card. For no other reason other than having another set of proof that you are PR.
2 - yes, you have to show income. This is done as you are essentially getting into a contract with the Canadian Govt. promising to take care of your spouses' expenses for 3 years. Therefore, you need to show proof (ie income) that you will be able to support him/her.
3 - hmm, this starts to get a bit too technical, ie you'd need a lawyer. The spouse PR application process takes 10-11 months from start to finish, are you going to be in the home country for that long?

Hi
Vizzynuts,

First of all, thanks for the reply

For point 2, I read that proof of income not required in case of sponsoring a spouse ,
"prove that you have sufficient income to provide basic requirements for your spouse or common-law partner’s dependent children. To do this, you must provide documents showing your financial resources for the past 12 months. This requirement applies only when dependent children who have dependent children of their own are included on the application."

For point 3, not for whole process , lest say visit spouse and family after 2 3 months for a period of week or so

Just one more point , as she is not working, Can she apply for visitor visa once we get married ?
