Hi,

From what I have learnt from this forum is you should wait until they ask for more proofs. Sending them photos and chat history in between can cause undue scrutiny and they may doubt as to why you are sending information without being asked for and they may see this as your desperation for getting visa and doubt your intentions. They also have a lot of files to deal with and sending information without being asked may create a lot of undue hassles for them which they may not like.

This is just what I have read many times on this forum, despite this many people do send more proofs. I believe if you have already send your engagement, wedding, honeymoon photos and all your chat history than you should not worry.

All the best. :)

I second Sunny. We were going to send updated relationship proofs and my recent trip to visit her but senior members said the same time that it will just create confusion. I say hold off until requested...

Hi All,

I am a new joinee to this forum. My husband has sponsored for my sponsorship from Canada. We have submitted our application to CIC on 23rd of March 2015, and we have not got any reply from CIC. Its already more than 72 days :( I can see almost many have got their AOR1 by 62-65 days.
When we tried calling the CIC they say that we have sent a request to check the status and sometimes they say it is 'In Progress'. Can anyone suggest how do we go about this?

Hey,

As your husband to double check his junk mail. Also we have seen people get the SA in regular mail though they provided an email ID. The only other way is to keep calling CIC than wait

Hi.. I have a few questions to ask
1. For IMM0008 Generic Application, for QUes. # 3 under Application Details the number of family members will be 1 right? As I am already PR here in Canada so there will be no dependent details needed in the application as we don’t have any children.

2. Is it helpful for my husband to add my name in his passport or it doesn’t matter ( I know it’s not mandatory but is it helpful in anyway) ?

3. As for the proofs of genuineness of relationship, should we send the original stuff like greeting cards we sent each other etc.

Thank you so much in advance :)

Hi,

1) Yes. It will be 1.

2) As you know its not mandatory. But if you can get it done, it can be an added proof of your relationship.

3) No need to send originals, photocopies would do. By the way, some people do send the originals. Its up to you.

All the best. :)

Did you receive letter from NDVO stating that they received your file.? I am march 23rd applicant. Ecas says they transferred my file but no letter yet.

I see two cases have been finalised and passports requested in just 3 months. One in Manila and one in Port of Spain. Application Filed Feb 2015 and PPR May 2015. NDVO is stressing us out.
