Hi rambopg,

I would also like to ask I have heard some people say that when NDVO requests for your passport and you live outside of India, you cannot send your passport into India via mail. Is that correct? Do you have to physically go there and hand in your passport? Does India not allow passports to be mailed into and out of the country?

In our case NDVO asked us to submit passport nearest VFS (that's Sydney).

hi guys,

There are so many updates... especially for May applicants (getting remedicals).

Usually after remedical it takes time to get DM/PPR (1 to 2 months).

Section A is filled and signed by Principal applicant. You may chose to fill Section B or not, that is your decision. If you fill Section B then the Sponsor has to sign it.

Hello, we r june 26 applicants....is dis d rite time to apply for notes jst to make sure abt d interview????? Please guide us ??? thanx :)

NDVO is still working on April-May files. You should probably wait till early July files are open and if you don't hear anything from NDVO by then. That way you will know if there are any updates on the file.

hey guys ,, could someone please guide me

my husband received remedical request today and we tried to call the doctor we got his initial medical from but he is not available to do this . is it advised to get it form another hospital from another city and of course different doctor ...or should I go back to max in Mohali even though its not the same doctor but they have record for the initial medical
thanks in advance

p.s. how long does it take after remedical and what are the chances about interview (even though our cash is straight forward just to be on safe side to see )

If you are scheduled for interview, you will only find out about the interview date 1 month before your interview. Interviews always happen in New Delhi and not in other countries. But don't worry about this at the moment.

Passport submission: Usually the person has to physically submit their passport at a local VFS office in India and that's why you can't just courier the passport into India/NDVO. BUT as Usher said, if your husband's permanent address is listed as New Zealand then NDVO might ask him to submit at a local VFS in NZ.

I just saw on the VFS India website. You could possibly provide a authorization letter to your friend/Family member and they can submit your passport. I think they will require a photocopy of your ID too.

We are Jan 19th 2015 applicants. On June 19th, it will be 17 months since our submission. We got notes and there is a recommended interveiw. Will out application be processed by 17 months? Or will it be longer than 17 months?

Hi guys,

Good news for me after a really long wait. She got re-medical request today 14-04-2016.

My application is as follows:

We received application for permanent residence on January 26, 2015.
We started processing application on April 14, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

The line for re-medical is not added, but we received on the above mentioned date.

They made you wait so long!!!! Did your file have any red flags? Congrats for finally getting your re-medical, I hope your wife quickly gets her PPR

NDVO will try to finish it within 17 months but there is no guarantee. They mention 17 months as average processing time and not maximum processing time. Wish you fast processing.

Hello punjabikudi
Same centre is important ,its not essential to hv same doctr....doctrs most of the time may shift to other hospital or leave job fr betterment.....as long as its the same centre thn their managment will handle everything...so go with the same centre...provided it is still mentioned on the cic panel doctr's centre list...other members can put their comments fr the same.....
Aftr remeds it takes anywhr around 2 weeks to 2 months to get update abt dm/ppr....mostly aftr remed ppl dont get interview bt it is surely wittness by few members on this forum so inshrt its difficult to comment unless u get ur gcms notes n under eligibility it is mentioned that its passed thn no interview.....
I hope this helpss...best wishess

Cheers :)
