When u open ur ecas ....u can see option below to change the address...u shld do it there.....it wont reflect immediately bt will surely be updated on ur file......sooner or later it will even reflect on ur ecas.....for more confirmation u may go for case specific enquiry mentioning u hv to change ur address n gv detail abt ur location....

U may write email to visa office regarding change of address....
delhi@international.gc.ca and also delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca
May be u can even attach proof of ur current address.... as in any official document.....
Finally to be sure regarding ur address update on ur application u may order notes aftr approximately a month or more of ur address update notification to ndvo to see the updated address ....

Election in Canada is already over right. US elections will not affect our process as far as i know.

Cuz by the time they reach ur file for checking eligibility, security and background, Your initial medical has expired. So they have to send u re-medical. And if it takes them 15 months to process ur file after initial medical then they ask u to do a full medical again.

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone can offer some advise here. My wife received the following email from NDVO:

"A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) for you bearing your original signature and date. Please ensure the form is complete in all respect. Personal History information and Addresses must be entered from the age of 18 years to date. Do not leave any gaps in time period/ information provided."

For personal history, she's been unemployed since 18. Do we still need to break it down month/year by month/year. Also, she did travel outside the country for 3 weeks. Does this need to be included in the personal history. This would be the only addition to Personal History besides what she already provided. Would including her travel now cause any issues?

Also, She has been living at the same address since she turned 18. For the travel she did, she doesn't remember the address of the place/hotel. What would be put?

Another question: She mistakenly wrote grade 9 for her grade instead of 8. Would changing this require any explanation?

Overall, does adding new information (i.e. information you never provided earlier) to the IMM5669 raise any issues?

Medical is valid for 12 months. When NDVO opens the file, it will send remedical request if medical is already expired or about to expire in few days.

I understand this might be not the right thread to post my question but since many of you in this thread have applied and tried for visitor visa for spouse while PR is in process I thought of posting this in this thread so that if anyone has been in this situation would be able to help me out.

My wife has got 1 year multiple entry visa and it is valid till October 2016. She came to Canada in Oct 2015. Her PR is in process and we are expecting it to come as per the current processing times around June 2016 (Applied on July 15, 2015). After she came here, we also travelled to USA. She got her re-entry stamp to Canada in Jan 2016. I have following question:

As per the 6 month validity period, her visa status expires in April 2016 Sad Sad but since she got stamping on her passport again in Jan 2016 because of USA travel does that mean she has time till July 2016? Huh

My knowledge based on my resources was that once you enter Canada as a visitor your status is valid for 6 months (180 days) if at the port of entry the officer does not specify how much time the visa is valid for but if you get re-stamping due to overseas travel, you are re-entering Canada which means you are allowed to live for 6 consecutive months again from the effective new date of stamping on the passport. Is this correct? If this is true, then she still has time till July 2016 before applying for extension and hopefully we expect that she gets PR by then and we can avoid re-application for visitor visa. Smiley Smiley

If this is not true, then technically my wife's status expires very soon in April and I need to apply for extension as soon as possible. Normally, they say 30 days before the expiration, I don't even have 30 days. I am pretty tensed and I don't want to have any effect on her PR application because of this. If I apply late for the extension I mean still within 30 days period and not 30 days before is that still OK? Please confirm.

If anybody has already been in this situation please feel free to share suggestions/comments. Please help me out.

One month is good time to assess your remdical n other formalities. Hope u get dm before may 2016.. so its time to meet your friends and others.....give notice to office where u works. U will get visA soon. B prepare to fly in May.....
