Thanks everyone..still a long way !! ans to all questions/doubts related to my post :

- Yes, we got remedical request for both PR(firstday) and for TRV(a day after) as we had both in process.
-Both requests through EMAIL.
- when asked for passport for remedical, we already confirmed while booking appointment that we don't have passport as it's been sent to CIC for visitor visa application(applied offline through VFS) so they asked to bring receipt/document stating it's been sent to cic and that would be fine.

i hope everyone hear soon about their next step(Remedical/ppr/dm...)

Cngrats for remed, Just checkin i also applied visitor TRV online for my wife on 19 nov and sent the passport on 7 dec to cic chandigarh still waiting it says application in process when tracked with VFS APP NO, dont know why they are not sending the passport. Just checking how do u applied for TRV

My Question is that possible if the passport is called for visitors TRV and in the mean time they finalise the PR file which is already in process can they stamp PR visa instead TRV on the passport thats why they are taking that long time and holding the passport for a month now. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Guys, I see that Jan applicants are getting passport request. Congratulation.

I had a question about the re-med requests. Some background, the email address that cic has for my spouse is wrong and we have requested them to correct it but as NDVO doesn't confirm if the changes are made, we are blind now on what's happening

Few questions
1. Is everyone getting remeds?
2. I am a march applicant. When can i expect remed email (4 weeks before?)? Do they send a snail mail as well?
3. Does ECAS get updated with remed request? If yes, how long does it take for ECAS to be updated after you receive remed email?
4. How long do they give you to complete the remed?
5. Is there a risk to do a remed without the request? Do we need to take any letter from CIC to do remed?

Did any update on remeds or ppr from feb / march applicant. This waiting time is becoming horrible. waiting to see my kids. Oh god give us some good news.

1. who is getting remed
2. which month is ndvo working
3. what is the waiting period
4. when can i expect remeds

well this forum is NOT NDVO.......every file is unique and it totally depends on ndvo. but to know which month it has reached and the waiting period please be a part of the spreadsheet so that you can help others and help yourself in return it will save us all with the repetitive questions i listed above.

if you give me the timeline i will gladly add/update

Average time as i have seen in this forum and in case with few of my friends it took about 9 to 12 months in total.so you can expect anything about 7 to 9 months after SA. But it may vary case to case.People who Applied in Jan 2015 and Feb 2015 are getting request of Re-medical as i have seen on Forum.

If the Passport is Requested for TRV it should be Stamped for only TRV .If in Case same time your PR is finalized then you should get contacted by NDVO. As the Visa Officer for both files should be different Person.And before Providing you different type of visa than the Passport was originally Requested for it need your consent .
Although this Answer is just based on My personal Opinion.

Its taking 8-12 months average from the time the file reaches NDVO so your looking at Oct/Nov of this year.

same for us.. they have my wife's passport since Nov9th. We applied offline so sent the passport with the application only.
