If the Immigration minster said that they will process 65000 family class(Spouses + dependants) sposorships this year. That is a virtual cap, Once they are close to reaching that number, they are not obligated to process applications faster.

Here is a link, its not official but I hope you understand why CIC would not willingly tell you that they have a virtual cap on how many people they allow each year.

If the cap is almost filled then that means the rest of 2016 applicants will also be pushed into the backlog making this backlog larger than it already is as half of 2015 applicants are still waiting along with alot of 2016 applicants

She was a white lady she nothing asked to both of us not even ask for any proof. She checked our passport india aarival stamps both came india at the same date and our flights were arrive at the same time. As my husband is on student visa in australia and his study is almost going to finish in nxt 3 months she wants to confirmation for that from both of us. Our both answers were same first preference is family he can study anywhere in the world. She asked my son date of birth and place of birth he is canadian born so no need of DNA .
My husband interview for 10mins and mine was 5 mins.
At the end she said not decision at this moment and send us full medical nxt day of interview.
