If anyone can help that would be really great! As many of you who have your spouses in Canada on temporary visa have done landing within Canada, I just wanted to understand the timelines between the PPR and PR visa stamping when it is sent via Canada post to Ottawa office. So, here are our timelines:
PR application filed: July 16, 2015
AOR1: August 18, 2015
File transferred to New Delhi: Sep 11, 2015
AOR2, file started to process: Sep 18, 2015
Remedical request: June 14, 2016
Remed done: June 20, 2016
Decision Made: July 6, 2016
PPR: July 12, 2016
PR visa stamping: Very soon, waiting
My wife is currently in Canada with me. We sent the passport to Ottawa office on July 13, 2016 and with the tracking ID we know that it has reached Ottawa office on July 14, 2016. Today is July 27th, just wondering how much time does it usually take from PPR to getting PR visa stamped on the passport if the passport is sent to Ottawa office. It has been approx 2 weeks and we are anxiously waiting. As per the spreadsheet, I am seeing on an average everyone is getting within 6-10 days PR visa after PPR.
Can anyone please let us know who sent the passports to Ottawa office and got the landing procedures done within Canada, how much time it took to get PR visa after the passport was sent to Ottawa and did anyone ask for the option of picking it up in any of the CIC offices or got directly sent to the residential address? Is the option of picking up valid within Canada or it is given only in India? As far as I know we did not get that option when we submitted via courier to Ottawa visa office.
