Hi, I am getting married in June 2015 (hopefully), just learn it can take up to 1 and half year in New Delhi to get VISA (freaking indian people slow like turtle but eat like monkey (that is money)),, yup i am indian too but we all know what I am talking about.

Anyway, few questions so please help..

After getting married, I would like to sponsor her as a Visitor so we can stay together for a while but she does not work nor study in India so most likely it will be denied..I can not stay in India because I work here..this is really pissing me off as I would like to spend time with her..

Second..she does not have passport yet, so should I wait until we get married and get her passport so My name will appear in the passport or should I have make the passport using her Birth Certificate which will have her father name..

I have emailed The Honourable Chris Alexander, P.C., M.P. (Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister), i think we should all start petition because it is unacceptable to take 1 and half year for application to get approved unless a sponsor person is getting married twice or more..but for 1st timer, they should not take this long as it can lead marriage problems..1st 2yrs of marriage is very crucial for strong bonding..

here is what I have emailed..who wants to start a petition?

Dear The Honourable Chris Alexander, P.C., M.P.

I am writing this email to voice over how spousal sponsor application are handled.

I will be getting married this June 2015, however I have been researching on sponsoring my future wife after we get married. After a long research, I have to come to conclusion that if I happen to get married with her, I will not see her for next 1 and half year due to back log in Visa Office in New Delhi.

I see this is very frustrating and depressing for our marriage as we will not able to stay together and only communication will be over the phone. As such cases it can lead to divorce and other marriage dilemma for both of us.

This is not only my case but in all new applicant or who has submitted in 2014 still waiting for their application either to be approved or waiting for visa for long 1 and half year.

Yes, we all have option to visit them back in India, however we work hard to support our family and our country. Especially in my case, I work for Toronto Transit Commission, which means I only get 3 weeks of vacation to stay with my future wife, which will be done during wedding ceremony. However, I would like to invite her as visitor so at least we can stay together for a while and enjoy our new life but for visitor visa, immigration Canada wants to see that my wife will go back to her home country. My wife does not work or study in India, so most likely her visitor visa will be denied.

My point is , if one is getting married for the 1st time, their spouse should be exempted for such rule(s) or regulation and let spouse to be entered in Canada under such condition, if the spouse stays over their visit visa, sponsor person shall be charge X amount of fee.

Dear Honourable Chris Alexander, P.C., M.P., please I am requesting you to make some sort of changes in how application are process for spouse, where newly wedded can be together at most efficient time. Unless the sponsor person is being married second or third time.

I hope you have understood my point behind this. If you have any questions please feel free to contact 647xxxxxx.

Her passport does not need to have your name. If she wants to use your name, she can wait.

NDVO averages less than a year.

If you care to Google, you'll find many such petitions on spousal sponsorship already exist. It's absolutely pointless to start another one.

Sorry, I did not find any where that it says Average is one year..according to CIC website..it says 16months for New Delhi location

www cic gc ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

I forgot to ask questions so can someone please answer this for me..

Once we get her passport and apply under Family Class and after a week if we apply for Tourist OR Visit Visa and if it get denied..will it affect her application that is under Family Class?

Also, in Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) form, under SPONSOR PERSONAL DETAILS, Whose information goes in there?, I believe mine, if so when I scroll down under Applicant Name, it shows up my name instead of her name..she is the Applicant, right?

www cic gc ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.pdf

Also, does anyone know if my wife can apply under Dual Intent or something? Please guide me

This is really pissing me off..because of some crooks we have to suffer..

If you have no red flags, it should take between 8-12 months.

As stated at the top of that page: The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases. This means that 79% of apps are processed faster than that. NDVO averages around 1 year.

As for your petition, seriously, just stop. You couldn't even be bothered to actually create your own and just copied someone else's failed petition that is FULL of wrong information and has already been thoroughly ripped apart. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/improve-spouse-sponsorship-processing-times-at-canadian-visa-offices-t270512.0.html

The numbers on CIC's web site are not averages. It's how long it took for CIC to complete processing for 80% of applications. This means most applications are processed faster than the posted time and a significant number are processed much faster.

Thanks everyone for reply...I have another please respond..
As I will get married in June 2015..I am starting to fill out Family Class Sponsorship Forms and Immigration Forms
In IMM1344 and IMM0008 has option to fill out form in PDF and click on Validate it, so when you Validate it creates a barcode..my question is

As I am filling out the form before marriage date and validating it..Will the barcode have the date I click on Validate?, means of course
immigration officer will be able to scan the barcode and when they do scan it, will they know what date I fill out?

Ok, I am running into more problems..in the check list..there need a police clearance or certificate..I am only sponosring my spouse but not her family members however in the Checklist this is what it says..

6. POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES
Police certificates or clearances from each country in which you and every one in your family aged 18 years or older have resided for six months or more since reaching 18 years of age. You must attach the original police document(s). Please consult our website for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.

So, according to this they need Police certificate every member of my spouse family..why? or they only want my spouse police certificate?

What about genuine people who get married second time?
Your letter wont count them or their feelings?
What guarantee you have to say all first marriages are genuine and not fraud

Your letter will hardly make a difference but if you take initiative for a good thing be fair and honest

Good luck
