Oh.. All this is such a mystery. And its so hard even after clearing everything.i feel u totally.my husband rcmp results didnt come out yet .been 2 months.we r so frustrated

But as you said u passed interview in feb 2016, its not look normal to hold decision for such a long time, what u think could be the reason?.

security checks takes longer than usual. one of forum member (ap1988) had interview in november 2015 and got ppr in may 2016.

Did everything.all they tell me is criminality in process. Nothing else.called the person who did fingerprints of my husband in visa office new delhi.she told me 3 weeks ago the same thing. She said it takes 2-3 months

I think it won't take much longer for criminal checks. good luck and keep the fingers crossed.

hi indocan, i have read different threads on this forum. it ranges from 6-12 months depending how extensive is your background check.
BTW how did get information about your background checks? can you share your timeline.

i am 2014 applicant but almost one year my file is untouched in New Delhi visa office they start working on my file in March 2015.we didn't hear anything until January 2016 then my wife did inquiry about this she tried to much we ask three MP send to many latter to John Macallum office but they never replied back then my wife visit Surrey CIC office they let her enter in office without appointment because we have 10 months old baby girl my wife tell all story to officer there then in May we got letter from that they are doing background checks on me and it was there mistake that they didn't open our file for whole one year they only said we are sorry still we can't give you estimated time because background checks take time so still I am waiting I was student in Cyprus and also I stayed in Austria without visa so I don't think so they will give me visa anytime soon I give them all police clearance but still no hope

But i hv 1 doubt..we need to send passport to VFS n they ll send it forward to Canada Embassy but VFS office are only in some cities like Mumbai pune delhi chandigarh banglore etc..So how can i send them if i m staying in small city which is far away from each centre..There is no option of sending through courier to VFS office? Do i have to go in person to Delhi or Mumbai as i dnt know anyone there?

Applied on 17th Dec 2014
File received in Delhi office 7th Apr 2015
Doc required PCC on 4th May 2015
Interview on 14th June 2016
Remedical on 17th June 2016
Remedical received 22 June 2016
Decision Made 25th June 2016
PPR request 5th July 2016

Background checks take 2-3 months.
