Hi Draxz1289,

Any luck with the MP inquiry?

Hey Mateen_aka,

I am still waiting to hear back from the MP office; I would presume the delay is due to them being busy for the upcoming election. I have emailed them again hopefully I hear back this week.

I guess its taking 12 months if you are superlucky and 14 mnths if you are lucky and may be more time if you have an interview and if you still dn hear anything than pause your expectations.. Hey pardon me if m wrong its just my observation .. From past updates :o :(
Fingers crossed .. They are still dealing with oct-dec ip no dm for these mnths .. :'(

My Application which CIC received on 31st december is still on received status. In the spreadsheet I can see that some december applicants have already got In Process since august and now of late in september. Now can anyone's application go directky to Decision made ? Any idea ? or it will first change to In-process and then Decision made.
Someone please guide me

You still have a long way to go. My wife's application is a September file, and its has been "In Process" for 6 weeks now.

But you applied for notes, right? How many days has it been?

Well you know that notes takes roughly 30 days+ and since i have sent more documents( i visited my wife so pictures and other proofs of that) i am gonna wait two weeks and then apply for notes.

through all these waiting is bit furstrating and questioning why they are taking long and all...

`When i want something to happen fast that`s when it gets delayed`so just hope that it works out for me.

Thanks for asking though.

You are right.Tentatively , it is taking 9-10 months on an average for IP and then 2-3 months for DM/PPR after that, so intotal 12+ months average for the whole process.

How much time would that long way take ? Any Idea

CIC job is not to police marriages. It only need to evaluate genuineness of marriage and issue visa.
Even if the marriage is for convenience they hardly detect it. But they dont hesitate to screw of genuine marriages but sleeping on the files. I think all the spousal sponsorship are given to VO whome they want to fire but cant.

Sometimes things like this forum thread happens and then we wonder why NDVO takes long time in scrutinizing if relationships are genuine or not.

Bro,

We are almost same date...My file was also touched on 27th April.....and after that its a wait...
Same status for another friend of 24July.
I guess our particular lot went to a real lazy bum dumb ass VO....
He / She must be nearing retirement. :P :P

hopefully, it should happen for our lot any day now....

Also, dont worry much about IP.....
Previously, they used to do IP when the file was nearing DM.
Nowadays, its just a clerical status change which they do, and dey are doing it just to justify they have been working on the files for long....

NO file will get DM before 12 months (Best case scenario) and 14 months, and if ur unlucky, interview even more longer. Rest , of course there are exceptions...

Some people have got interview calls even after IP, so relax, only PPR is the finality :D ;D

U can try MP enquiry, but it just helps u get info, it doesnt help u move it fast, and with elections next month, MPs are crazy busy...

You can do a case specific enquiry anytime. The link is below:

Hi aqua_AB
Thanks for your reply.I think there are many people from July waiting for their status to go to "In process".Actually I am wondering after sending my file to visa officer for final review on April 27th why they are taking so long to move the file further and go for other things in line like criminality, security etc. Also will MP or case specific inquiry have any negative effect on my file?
