Visitor visa extension from within Canada

Dear friends,
My wife is March 2015 applicant (NDVO) and is currently with me here in Canada on TRV (multiple entry). She entered Canada on 01 March 2015 so 6 months will expire on 31 August 2015. I will appreciate if some one can share his/her experience on how to extend Visitor Visa from within Canada, Online or hard copies?

I have applied Sept. 2nd and my status is AR. Should I be worried that I might have an interview? Or just wait as NDVO picks up files randomly and my file will be picked up next month. Any thoughts? Comments? Please help!

I have read that NDVO is doing sept applicants but from spreadsheet it seems like majority of are not in process from sep/aug. Or am I not looking at latest spreadsheet?
Any idea how long does it take from AOR2 to IN PROCESS status?

Does PA (spousal sponsorship) needs to provide proof of fund during landing?

I know it is not mentioned in the manual, but were there any case(s) in the past of such?

My wife (PA) will be landing at Niagara (Peace bridge), wondering if she needs proof of fund.

based on the posts that i have seen in this forum ndvo doesn't work on first come first serve basis. God only knows how they work but my best bet would be to wait for a month( based on current processing speed) and if nothing shows up apply for notes

any updates from whoever went into ip around May 20-24? generally it ws 2 weeks and you get DM but this time, its already a full month with no DM.
