I know bro, But there have been inconsistency in the processing times. It suckks that some people are waiting from March and they hear nothing, But friend applied in May,his wife already got passport request.
Guy!! I think it's all depends upon case to case and also location matters. Punjabi always behind to get visa because lots of applications. ...One of my friend she got visa with in 4.5 months. Even hee hubby told me he didn't organize the file properly. ...god knows how it works...

pammi veer ji even they haven't start yet for July applicants. .. Any july applicant status chang to ip,DM, ppr...Please let me know...

That was just an example yaaraa.. bcoz we do not know what NDVO is doing and how they are doing. literally i feel the pain of everyone but we can't question as to why him and why not me bcoz its not applicants fault its NDVO who is doing it and its not right. Everyone should be treated equally and accordingly not like Feb is awaiting for interview letter and June is getting ppr request totally unfair.

Hi,

I am PR in Canada and now sponsoring my wife and one child ( 16) . I am getting help from agent. As husband I will be the sponsor and wife with the child will be sonsorees.

  • How much fee to be paid initially? 550 + 150 = 700 CAD? When shall we pay online fee ? Before application or after we get advise from CIC?

[What is upfront medical? shall we do medical without advise from CIC? Is it e-medical ?

  • It is mandatory to do medical upfront in case of spousal sponsorship, yes it is e-medical. Yo have to take an appointment with an authorized doctor, as mentioned on the CIC website.

    Regarding fees,
Family Class applicants - FEES Schedule : (as per CIC Website). To verify just click on the link below :

    Sponsorship application (per application) $75 * 1

    Principal applicant $475 * 1

Principal applicant, if less than 22 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner (including a dependent child of the sponsor, a child to be adopted and an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild) $75

A family member of the principal applicant who is 22 years of age or older, or is less than 22 years of age and is a spouse or common-law partner $550

A family member of the principal applicant who is less than 22 years of age and is not a spouse or common-law partner $150 * 1

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) :

Acquisition of permanent resident status - Fees
For the acquisition of permanent resident status $490 * 1
This fee is payable by principal applicants (with some exceptions) and accompanying spouses and common-law partners. It must be paid before the immigrant visa is issued overseas or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

The following applicants are not required to pay this fee :

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and protected persons, including Convention refugees.

So you have to Pay in Total $1190. If RPRF ($490) is not paid in the beginning itself then they will ask for this fees to be paid after the stage one approval and it delays the process from 2 - 3 months.

    Link for fees : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

    Hope this helps. :)
