Dear All.. I dont know whether to believe my eyes or not... I got a passport request today... My time line is AR/MR: 11-4-14 Meds: 18-11-13 IP:25-9-14

Gosh.. I did not expect it so did not even check email since morning.. cant b'live the ppr was sitting pretty in my inbox since 10am.. pinching myself to confirm that i'm not dreaming..

I am so glad I had you all for support through the horrible times (and for all you know, till I get my pp back with visa, cannot discount something going wrong now either)... My love and best wishes for all of you who are waiting for the visas and also for those who are on their way..

I have another pertinent question.. the e-mail says I have to send my pp to visa office in new delhi.. I am in mumbai.. I'll be going to the mumbai vfs office to see if i can submit it there but just in case anyone has an answer please let me know... Thanks in anticipation

Also, CIC website is down so cant check if my status has changed yet...

This is the email regarding passport
1) Passports
Please provide passports or travel documents for yourself and each accompanying dependant, along with a copy of this letter, to the visa office in New Delhi. Please see the VFS Visa Application Centre (India) website for details on how to transmit your passports to the Canadian High Commission: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/India/.

Don't worry. You have to send it through VFS at Bandra kurla complex in Mumbai. I am assuming you are from Mumbai. Just take 2 photographs, printout of your email, fill section (5) of email, your passport and take cash of around 1000 to 1150 fees.
Tracking # will be on receipt. No appointments are needed.

To be honest ....you will miss Mumbai. I miss my city everyday... :'( There is no other place like Mumbai. One of its kind.

Totally agree!! My hubby is coming down for Diwali as well.. but since there was no sign of PPR I had not begun any packing... Now that I have started, I can't imagine going to Canada without even the tiniest plant in my window garden or the panipuri wala at the corner of the road ... Also, There is no place like Mumbai.. I have left being in the USA because I was homesick.. but hubby reassures that Canadians are a jolly lot.. so might as well try before reaching to a conclusion!!

Obviously yaar Vadaa paav toe koi bhi Mumbaikar nahi bhul sakta. Misal Pav bhi garamaa garam fav hai apna When I landed in Toronto I was so shocked to see it soooo quite....I told one gora that, in Mumbai even at midnight in cemetery you will find more people than what I see here outside in the morning
