If you are planning on adding the name of spouse on yours and your wifes passport than I just want to inform that its not necesaary to do that. A lawyer told me that adding your spouses name will not increase or decrease your chances of getting visa..my husband didn't have my name on his passport and still he got visa in 8 months....you can add their name when you are giving your passport for renewal. ..
if you want to renew your passport than yes you can even after sending your application. Just make sure to send both passports when you get PPR...

Yes.. locate vfs office near ur place or there must a link in ppr mail which lists all vfs offices..
Go to ur nearest vfs office with all required docs..

brar 73... its not necessary that you get AOR2... sometimes NDVO forgets to send.
i got it just 3months back... n this month my case is clear. so dont worry.

Checked my status.. it is in process as well.. Thank you soo much Sonal.. checked your timeline because of which checked my status (I had given up checking because it was too depressing to see app received everytime)...

Can someone tell me what is the average time till IP changes to DM or PPR?? because the process was taking too long, my husband has booked us on a Europe trip from 24th Oct till 8th Nov.. I feel the DM is going to land up at that time and screw up that as well.. :'( ..

If I get a DM/PPR, within how much time should I submit my PP?? and if I submit before, how much time till i get my pp back??

Please help.. Really appreciate all the encouragement everyone here extends and I wish you all the very same..

Congrats dear for your IP status.. wish u speedy visa..
On an average it will take around 30 days from IP to DM or PPR.. rest all dependa on your luck and visa officer..

But dont mind i think you guys booked ur tickets in hurry.. cuz after DM or PPR to it will take 7 days to 15 days to receive ur passport back with shiny visa.
I just hope for the best..

We have yet to book the complete euro trip.. my schengen visa is yet to arrive.. so everything is tentatively blocked right now.. but I don't want to miss it..

Instead of going to the local vfs centre, is it possible to fly to delhi and get the pp stamping expedited?? I'm from mumbai and live close to the vfs here but would like to know the possibilities..
