yes, she went to and submitted it at VFS location. Total came out to INR. 1045.. Now i have a tracking number.

My husband is also from gujarat and he submitted his passport at ahemdabad vfs location...
all you do is take
2 passport size photos,
copy of your PPR email with filled information for number 5) where they are asking information on applicant and spouse name, passport no n expiry date, date of birth, eye colour etc.
And take the passport...also if you have more than 2 passports. ..expired and new take both..if you used them for the process. ..for example my husband used his old passport for medical and new for application forms...so he sent both....
Go to the vfs office and in 30 mins depending on waiting time it will be done. ..

Currently, my wife is tide up on her work things so I dont think she would be able to go to Ahmedabad, so can she send her passport via India Post or private courier? Also, she used to have her older passport, so as you said earlier, does she have to send both new and old together to Ahmedabad. And please mention about charges, (is there any return postal chargers they ask)

Honestly my husband went personally, so I am not aware of this, but courier will take longer time...and yes there are charges for the application and separate for also courier...all I know is there is courier service for when they return your passport, but am not sure about when you submit...

I highly recommend that your wife go in person and do this. I dont know if you can courier it to the VFS office. Besides its to come to canada (only 30days to submit ). My wife just took train (9hrs) to get to VFS office.

Total was $1045 (Application Fee -624, SMS fee -55, Courier back to home -366)

just clarifying, DM means Decision Made right ?
NDVO is New Delhi Visa Office right ?
what is PPR ?

and just an extra information to all, on Sep 13 2014, I received a original copy of my 5th Std marks card which I had sent with the application. It is a good sign that they return any unwanted certificates or documents.

PPR is passport request..
N yeah generally return any unwanted documents..
May be they will all your documents after approval..
So hope for the best and wish u speedy visa..

hi yksodhi,

i believe all airlines are 2 luggages and since your international its free for 2. If you have more stuff, you can send cargo. you just need to know what items are in each bag and let the customs officer know when you reach canada. if its your first time coming here you can bring lots. Check into a cargo service like DHL or others that are in india.



Thnks fr d info, bt excessive luggage is applicable where dere is weight concept, since fr canada its piece concept, dere will 2 pcs permitted max plus cabin luggage, i checkd wd dtdc n all dey charge heaps,

Hi Kan_sri, can you please sort the spreadsheet with application date received rather than status? It is easier to see how the progress is that way I think, month by month. We can also check who might be coming up next. If we sort by status, it is difficult to say who will be next. Thanks!
