NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

A canadian citizen can travel anytime when the application is in process . My wife have been staying in india since our marriage . Even when we filed the application she was in india. It should not be a problem to travel .

thanx for the reply... well i am a pr, not a citizen... hope the same rule applies to me as well... thanx... and also do i need to be in canada when my spouse lands here... my dad actually lives here and he is a pr too.. under non-ideal circumstances it might be so, that i actually arrive in canada 1-2 weeks after my wife...

you are welcome but it should not be a problem . I think your side of the work is already done since you have been approved as a sponsor . it is not mentioned anywhere that the sponsor should be in canada at the time of applicant's landing . I think you should ask the 2013 applicant's in the other forum who have already landed , they'll be the right one's to tell you about it but you surely can travel .

WOW! NDVO sure has tricks up their sleeves.... Please share with us if you find any other additional info. I'm from Karanl too, so a bit more curious...

Welcome to the forum.

Going with the current trend, NDVO is taking 9-10 months(on an average) to issue visa. Expect it by Sept-Oct.
