We had filed our application on Sept 5, 2014. We were asked for updated IMM forms on Oct 9, which we sent October 17, 2014.

Does anybody know how much more time it might take after CIC has received the updated forms.

Important help please......re-asking!


I got my PP with Visa on 22th Oct. 2014 and visa valid till 28th Feb. 2015

Due to job matter and family marriage (1st week of feb. 2015 ) currently I can't go / land to Canada. But planning to go on 15th Feb. 2015.

I will land BEFORE my Visa expire. BUT GOING AT END SIDE OF VISA EXPIRES DAYS WILL IT CREATE ANY PROBLEMS? OR ANY ISSUE?


Please let me know...so that I can able to make decision....Any replies will high appreciate!!!!!

You have visa, but you need to land before visa expiry and apply for PR Card and stay for least 8 weeks for getting card, after that go where ever you want.

Hey guy,

so we got email alert at noon India time that the passport has been dispatched from Chandigarh to Jalandhar....

One hour later..we got another email.saying "the passport has been courriered from Canada Visa application centre Jalandhar on 28/10/2014 vide Blue Dart. To track the status of the hipment, please visit courrier partner website"

Its hard to believe whether the PP actually arrived in Jalandhar in one hour??

we told them we will come pick it up at Jalandhar and they gave the address where to go...Can someone please shed some lights on this matter whether they actually courriered the PP via Blue Dart...and how can I track the status if so? Did it happen with you guys as well those who got their PP back with visa? how did this getting the pp back process happened with you guys?

1. The person who updated the status, does in bulk, so pp came to Jalandhar then someone updated the previous status as well
2. You should have some tracking number as well. Check got vfsglobal india website and track application with blue dart as carrier company.

You have to submit the passport in new delhi itself ?? Or it can be any centre like jalandhar or chandigarh ?

Hi guys, can anyone tell us how long does it take to get passport back with visa? I sent my passport last week n stil no update. I hv already booked my tickets for nxt month ???

You should expect 2-3 weeks from the submission date.
if dont get it, then send email inquiry.
