Got PPR today!

To carry :

Passports
2 pics as per required,
Print of whole email
Enter details of Applicant and Spouse as mentioned in email after print at 5th point.

How many money to carry for service?

Which option is best to take back PP : From VFS manually or courier at home ? which is fast and safe?

Hey..
Yes u need to carry passport, 2 photographs, printout of that email and all the required information as per point 5th...
U need 1045 rs i guess.. so better to carry around 1500 to 2000 bucks..
If vfs is near at ur place then go for pick up option as u dnt need to wait for 2 to 3 days for mailing n all..
But if vfs is far away then coarier option is best...

An OMG moment from me ! I got PPR in mail today and status on ecas still shows IP.
Submitted my passport at vfs office ahmedabad and returning now so updating late.

AR : 17th Jan
IP : updated on 29 aug "file in process since aug 22"
PPR : 13 Oct

Congrats to all who got some updates today. To all who are waiting, I always believed in law of attraction. Stick to it but cherish what u got. It wont make visa get faster but will make the waiting process equally worth while and a bit less disturbing.

Thanks to people on this forum. All the active members have always been that positive inspiring sources.

Hi,

I stay at baroda so i went to a'bad vfs office to submit passport. If feasible prefer that coz they check the filled doc thouroughly and mine had some correction required so i could do then and there.
For passport delivery, i would suggest check for sms update of ur courier document so that u can track its journey from visa office till ur home.
Charge is Rs. 1045 including courier and sms updates.
The office operates from 2-4 pm for document submission and normally its open from 9 am to 4 pm except all saturdays and sundays.
Carry one more extra id proof if need be. They asked for it from the person ahead of me.

Hi Sonal1988... You don't need to send your expired pp unless you have a valid visa on it.. I had asked them if i needed to attached my expired and they said I'd have to attached it only if the old pp has any visa which has not expired... however, take it along with you when you go to submit it..

In another news, My PP has been dispatched from NDVO.. should get it by tomorrow..

Had checked both statuses at 11 am this morning and at that point of time it was still "Being processed by Visa office at New Delhi" and "In Process".. Now when I checked at 3:30pm, its "Processed PP dispatched from New Delhi" & "Decision Made"...

So, I'm guessing, status changed to DM on when PP with visa was done being processed & dispatched..

Hi All,

This is an amazing and informative group. It's very helpful to read about your experiences. Here is my scenario:

I applied for my wife on apr 4 and she got ppr today

Applied - Apr 4, 2014 (with medicals and pcc)
Sponsor approved and file transferred to Delhi - mid June
Got IP- sep 30
Ppr and DM - oct -13

So it seems all done in abt 7 months (great compared to the 13 month avg timeline they provide)

Can someone share how much time you get to come here ? My wife's medicals expire mid jan 2015.

I know this timelie is not an issue for most lol. My wife's sibling is getting married in Dec and just hoping she gets time until then. So we are thinking of sending passport after 2 or 3 weeks if it helps. (We have 30days as pe letter)

Also they have asked in letter abt psprt number height eye color etc for spouse as well. But Since I am sponsor does anyone know if they need my details ?

One word of encouragement for anyone who is applying and going thru employmet issues. I got laid off 2 days before I applied (can u believe it ?) with gods grace still all went well . Was pretty nervous abt it.
