I feel so sorry for you, that they haven't given any date for interview yet! I really admire your patience. But I don't have those patience and positive attitude anymore. I feel hopeless sometimes! Each morning I wake up with good news but at end it shows AR. I don't feel checking status lately!!

I think what is hurting people here is lack of transparency and commitment from CIC, not the wait itself. I bet if CIC told applicants we would need "X" number of days to finalize your application (be it 10,100 or 200) people would keep themselves busy, try not to worry about it for "X" number of days (the whole 15 month timeline is just a facade to not be answerable to anybody before the timeline), on the contrary, random files are being processed in no order whatsoever, March applicants have DM while Jan applicants are still in the status of "AR/MR/IP". Agreed, that every case is unique to a certain degree, the thing that I can't fathom is the number of files sitting in the status of "IP", doesn't the status "IP" mean the preliminary checks (security etc), eligibility are all done and the case processing worker has cleared it to move to the next stage (which is to make a final decision)?, if so, it doesn't make any sense at all, people have been in the status of "IP" for months, why are these applications just sitting on the back burner? If its not the case, just stop updating the status to "IP" for reasons which are beyond human comprehension.

I hope they understand giving a false hope, is worse than giving nothing. As long as they don't have a standard operating procedure and a higher authority to be accountable to, I am afraid, things aren't going to change. If you get your visa its your lucky year, if you don't, its life as usual at CIC.

Here is to hoping everybody has a "Transparent Tuesday" for once!

True for u said, "Things aren't going to change". Yes because lot of people have accepted this system, and obviously there is no other option, acceptance is the only thing left for all of us. I don't feel good about it at all but what else I can do?
It does make sense that they might be very busy as they get thousands of applications each year, but the way they are processing the cases is absolutely unpredictable and a tiresome process for an applicant whose so much waiting to be with his/her partner. And there is no proper information regarding how much time a certain case will take? Some people get visas in few months while some of them have to wait for an year or so. You call it fair? No , not at all.

Parents OR Spouse Visa

Hi,
Can any one please advise me on this.
I want to sponsor my parents for super visa. And I am also planning to get married in few months. If I apply for Parents SuperVisa will this in any ways effect my eligibility to Sponsor my spouse.

Also If I only have a court marriage in India. and then apply for visa will there be a problem, as I am planning to get married in January 2016. but the court marriage will be done January 2015.
??? ??? ??? ???
Thank you everyone once again.
Good thread.
Regards.

You are exaggerating the number by multiple folds, these are the number of applications received by New Delhi Office between March 2013-2014, just touching hundreds.

Mar/2013- Apr/2013- May/2013- Jun/2013 - Jul/2013 - Aug/2013 - Sep/2013 - Oct/2013 - Nov/2013 - Dec/2013 - Jan/2014 - Feb/2014 - Mar/2014
486 - 492 - 712 - 670 - 565 - 482 - 402 - 359 - 271 - 333 - 303 - 233 - 19

Ref: http://data.gc.ca/data/en/dataset/6a26595e-3b66-4591-b795-87702ed5d58e

Btw, look at the number of applications for Jan/Feb/March 2014 compared to March/April/May 2013, its just a little over half of the applications that were filed last year, still 2013 applicants are waiting so are 2014 applicants.

No wonder April applicants are getting "IP" there are just 19 applications filed in March 2014 (March could be a partial data set, but don't think it would go over 200, but could very well be the full data set).

So overall fewer applications than last year and increased processing times, yes, CIC efficiency half life even defies physics. You'd expect the times to go down, not here, not this year.
