I have applied on 04 June 2014.
got sponsorship confirmation on 5 Aug 2014
and 22 Aug got confirmation of file received at New Delhi office.
Medical, PCC and Landing fee is already paid and sent along with file on 04 june 2014.

Kindly let me know the wait time for passport request

When was the application filed? it takes 55 days from then. if you have gone beyond 55 days, you can call CIC from within canada and get an update..

Currently end of Dec'2013 are getting visas, they are working on early Jan'2014 applicants.. so 6 months of applicants are pending ahead.... passport request currently is hapenning only in the last stage - after decision made.
