Received GCMS notes today and everything has been APPROVED, new passport number has been added to file and file is indicated as RFV (ready for visa) on January 09, 2016.
Still no sign of PPR! Should I contact my MP's office again? I contacted them 2 weeks after my status changed to DM and they said to wait 4 weeks after DM..it will be 4 weeks on this Sunday.
Confused as to why it would take so long to get PPR letter...? Could it be because of the fact that I ordered notes and they were waiting for it to be sent? ??? ???

You are the same case as us. Our notes indicated visa for ready to issue on Oct 9th 2014 but we didnt hear back at all and we contacted the MP in Jan and next day we got the PPR. We told them as per the notes we are approved and ready to be issued - I suggest you contact your MP and show them the notes.

Oh wow that is a long wait for you guys, but I'm glad you shared your experience--thank you. I have sent an email to MP office this morning, hopefully they get back to me by Monday.

Hello guys, was bit busy with the settlement issues, so posting late. I landed on 29th January at Toronto Intl. airport. Landing was very easy. They asked some basic questions, like what is your and your spouses name?, Where does your spouse stays in Canada? That sort of questions. Nothing much. Once they are convinced, they immediately will let you sign the COPR and stamp it. They also have one SIN counter over their, which will provide you with your SIN number immediately.

It was a hard journey which took almost 14 months. Will keep in touch guys. And all the 2014 applicants, each of you will hear some good news from NDVO guys. Stay positive.

BTW do you mind sharing what it says under "Finalize Application/ Document Issuance" in your last notes? For me it says "in print queue" and I could be wrong but for us Afghans the visa is issued by Islamabad, so could it be that they are the ones who should be sending out the PPR email?
Ugh so frustrating

For us it said in print queue as well and everything was approved. I am not sure how the visa process works for Afghanistan - is the visa is processed in New Delhi but issued in Islamabad?

Oh okay--same as our notes then.
And yes so the entire case is processed in New Delhi (including interview if required) but the actual visa is printed/issued in Islamabad. This is what exactly says in the notes:
"Document: Counterfoil / Vignette
Status: In Queue
.
.
.
Print Queue: PQ-VISA(xxxx)-ISBAD PR VISA
Due Date: 2016/01/15"

So basically it's already there in Islamabad, we just need an email to submit the passport so it can be printed.

And that is exactly the reason why you should not do re-medicals without instructions and must wait until you are instructed by NDVO - in this case.

That is why in Spiker79 notes it indicated they scanned and trashed it and did not put it in the physical file - they will not accept it unless the instructions are coming from NDVO.

Lol bro who said people shouldn't do medicals without instructions? Most of the people lined up for interview do it and they gladly accept it and finalize it. Past has witnessed many files have been processed with NO instructions given.

They have also put a comment on my notes

" original PCC X 1 received. Scanned and trashed adding NO adverse info found"

anyone else from Oct 2014 waiting for meds or interview letter

Oh I see. Yes you just need the PPR hopefully the MP can speed it up.

Hello everyone!

Our status has FINALLY changed to DECISION MADE today!!
It has been a long 17 months.. Hoping for PPR shortly.

Hi
I have applied on 17th Dec 2014 but still no reply frm CIC not even for Re Medical. Status is still 'IN Process' . I have applied for GCSM notes and got reply 'Interview Recommended' For Eligibility check and Medical check is in process. Security and Criminality is Not Even started.
One strange thing that i saw is 'Undertaking Months' is showing 36. How can it possible to take 3 years as i m Indian and its showing 17 months in CIC. I am really worried about it.
Please someone can tell me what it is for or anyone else got same thing in Notes.

Be patient you are not far from the cross line. as you can see people from September are getting DM. so I believe in a few weeks to 3 months you will get DM as well.all the best and be blessed.

Hey @Sabash

This is normal if you are recommended for interview! I am sorry to say but you still have quite a few months to go until you hear anything from NDVO! They are currently processing interviews for July 2014 applicants! Your checks will most likely stay incomplete until you get closer to your interview date, if so!

The undertaking is normal, I had the same on my notes as well. This has nothing to do with the processing times!

Wish you all the best and a speedy movement going forward!
