Family Program: Spouses & Partners
Medicals Done: 24 Sep 2014
Sponsorship Approved and AOR Received Date: 13 Nov 2014
File Transferred to Local Consulate: 27 Nov 2014

So Basically i filled my application in Sep but i have till not received information for NDVO and my file status is still AR

Hi i am dec , 2014 applicant. My husband is a canadian citizen and has applied for PR through spousal sponsorship in dec, 2014 in Mississauga. we have recieved our SA but the current status is AR/MR. Our application has been sent to the New Delhi office in March ,2015. Has anyone who applied in 2014 before heard from the NDVO? Has anyone recieved their PR visa or PP request? I wanted to know teh approximate time taken for the application process in 2014.

In my opinion Yes.
It means they are looking into your file or are at the final stages.

They are still working oct./nov. files. Some Dec. files have gone "In-Process".

what i noticed is that July and probably August applicants are experiencing some delays. The reason behind is Updated CIC forms. On Aug 1st, CIC updated there forms. They returned every single applicant file who applied with outdated form. As a matter of fact, they even asked some poor July applicants to send back updated forms and did not approve there file unless new forms were provided.

i am on of the victim of this change. I initially applied in August, but with outdated forms. Month later i was contacted by CIC to resubmit with new forms. Hence, now after everything i became October applicant.

Yeah same thing with me, i applied in August, 2014 but for same reason now its September 2014.

I thought it was because of the Nepal earthquake that was causing the delays because New Delhi was rushing to finish all the applications from Nepal, it's also being reflected on the New Delhi 2014 spreadsheet. I believe there was 1 or 2 sponsorships from Nepal and they have already received visas, correct me if i'm wrong. Its either the combinations of outdated forms and Nepal earthquake that are causing these delays.
But that's my two cents.

So I am July 2014 applicant. Alhamdulilah. Our file went in process on Aug 14 2015 and we received a re-medical email on Aug 17 and my husband got it done in mumbai today Aug 18.
This wait has been just crucial on my 7 years old daughter, my husband and myself. Most of you are either newly married or just spouses sponsoring each other but imagine the pain of a 7 years old waiting to meet her daddy. Mp enquiry replies has been something that I already know, so why is it called an 'enquiry' again? 3 of us suffering for 13 months now!! Separation of a family! According to the MP my wait is till Jan 2016! Well, 5 more months yes NDVO my 7 years old daughter is strong enough to handle you!!! This whole process is just pain pathetic!! How long does one have to wait after re-meds as it's only valid for 3 month? Only thing is to tell u all is to have faith in God. Pray, cry and stay strong and you will win. In Shaa Allah. May Allah bless you all.

You are correct it hardly takes 3 or 4 months to issue visa they have to check only the eligibility, medicals, fees payment, security and criminality my file is in process since March almost 5 months they are sleeping on my file when we had gone for mp enquiry they still didn't go for background checks they have dumped my file

Here are my thoughts about this:

the problem is that one case out of 100 or 1000, that is is fake and fraud. some people wants to get abroad by hook or crook. That's why i think they keep extending the timelines and they have more time to review person activity.

Initially whole process was just 3 months long. couple of family friends i know got here in that timeline.

since i was panicked seeing my notes yesterday my husband met a consultant. last year there were many cases proved as " marriage of convenience/ fake" in Vancouver. so the pressure on NDVO is so damn high...that majorly affects on us. adding to it i have a doubt " the consultant said its not good to order gcms more than twice since it might change your file position when they pull out" but how come ordering a electronic notes will have an effect on our processing?? because that's the only option left to us right? senior member can you please share your knowledge on this....

Hey, I was told by my consultant as well not a good idea to order notes at all as it raises more suspision to them as thats the only option we have to know whats going on. I also was told by a few more people the same thing....which is why i never ordered them also

I dont think it wil be suspicious to them if we order notes..!! Because that is the only option left for us to know what is going with the application.i also had same doubt i asked my representative. He told me that it doesnt affect at all. These days they got so many request of notes because of the long processing times. So we have applied too. But i dont know we didnt recevied it yet. Dont inquiry too yesterday too but no reply. Getting worried now. Its more than 1.5 month since we applied notes. I m nov applicant.

before ordering gcms notes i actually went through if its safe or not to order...even other forum's they mentioned " as long as its electronic notes it does affect because the detail will b stored in gcms database that doesn't interferes with processing time" dats why i went for it....now its so frustrating with mixed comments about it. how long this wait is gonna kill . still didnt receive medical request too... :-X
