Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask a couple of questions about visitor visa

- Is it preferable to apply online or in person ?

- Since there is no appointment system in New Delhi VAC office does it take a long time in the queue to submit the application ?

- Finally, do we have to use the VFS Global Services or just apply directly ?

1)Its best to apply online as processing time reduce drastically by it. Also it provides nice portal through which you can apply which minimize the mistakes.
2)when I applied for visitors in last November online, i got visa approval in 5 days and next 7 day to get my passport stamped. so total 12 days.
3)When you will receive PPR its always better to opt for VSF as they are reliable and fast.

Can anyone tell me how i can count the duration of my cases, we have to count from the date which CIC received our application or which we received AOR2???

AOR2 in December, expect a response by August or later.
Sorry if this hurts, but the current trend of the NDVO is indeed this pathetic !!

NDVO too slow , since last 2 months NDVO got stuck on July 2014 applicants. no In process after 20 July 2014 NDVO applicant. New delhi visa office Spouse applicant's processing time has been increasing this year 2015. We filed on 26 Nov 2014, got spouse sponsorship approval on 5 march 2015, second AOR (from NDVO) on 20 march 2015 and when can we expect for IN-PROCESS status ? sept or october 2015 ? :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ : :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Yes, NDVO is slow but they certainly are working on files, we have two august applicants in process. We dont have enough people sharing their timelines, we just have 10-15 people from august onwards in this forum, and in the real world there are about 500 people who apply every month. The reason why they are slow can be attributed to the fact that this time of the year they are busy with the student visa applications, though they have different departments for each category, depending on the work load they might be engaging other departments to work on the student visas.

A few months back there was a nice article as to how the visa officers work on spousal cases. In that article it was also mentioned that they also have certain deadlines to catch up, so if they are slow now, expect them to work faster in the coming days.

I believe you should certainly hear something by august or september.

And again a request to all the silent members to please share their timelines, lets all help each other when we are suffering from this painful process.

It's only rumours they are dealing with June July cases . Cases are still pending from last year , it's depends upon the visa officer and number of cases . Canada immigration is patience game .
Better keep calm and pray .

6639 wedding was registered last year for Canada only from India . We can imagine work load . Over 554 files every month 17-18 per day !!

Hey guys hows everything... its been almost a month since i last posted, but seems like things at still where it were last month...
We have very few applicants from July onward. it is going to be very difficult to find out whats happening in NDVO with 10 to 15 applicants in each month. I am very happy to see that 2 August applicants are in Process.

Hopefully things are movely well in background ... this waiting game is getting harder day by day
