naonidh - There are over 150 Canadian and Indian employees working for CIC in NDVO. There are different sections for TRV (visitor visa)/Student program, Family class, Refugee class, FSW etc. So the statement that staff are busy with old cases and student files is baseless. Moreover, new sessions in Canada start in Feb and Aug/Sep, so student rush is over now. Students are already in their classes. Student rush will start again in July.
Ordering GCMS notes has no adverse impact on the file. I applied and got thrice during my PR process. On two occasions I found one mistake each and sent mail to VO for overlooking facts (they had forgotten to give me 5 points for my uncle in Canada and also made a comment that my salary was low when I was on PG work permit, VO didnt pay attention to employment letter as I was getting my salary, bus/subway pass and two meals. Both these omissions were corrected after my representation supported with documentary evidences.
