Hi Guys,

I have quick question. read in the article that Pamma posted that visa officer can raise a red flag if time between marriage and first meeting is too short.

I am little confused....would they consider skype chat, video calls as means of interaction before marriage? I met my husband first time a week before our marriage but we have been in regular touch with each other for past 5 months though via calls , skype, and what's app. We were introduced to each other through a common friend. I did explained that on my papers, provided skype history from the day we started chating ( it was 200 pages lolz!) but just wondering if this can be red flag? Would they consider our interaction before meeting as a means of knowing each other or not?

I'm sending my appln in the coming week and just want to let you know that my case is same as urs.

I have enclosed a cover letter covering all the red flags that I see in my appln, and attached proofs for the same. Now just thinking in a positive way, But I'm not ruling out a interview for my wife unluckily.

When I applied for my Skilled worker PR, I got both a verification call and an interview after that, so praying for a smooth sail this time though.

I do have a lot of photos of weeding ... our first meeting at an airport (we met in transit on our way home for wedding) ... also call records for last 6-7 months ...

I can tell you guys the way I did it bcoz I had almost same situation like you guys
I met my wife in person at her home for the first time so i fill up her home address for the place we met first in person
and for the question when and where you met - I gave the answer 'Skype video call' and its date.
I dont even have any photo together before marriage other than call and chat details.
I still submit all details of that though i missed some of call details.
I would say what ever documents you can give to prove your relationship that would be helpful to convince the officer.
the marriage photos u need to produce important events of marriage. like ring exchange, number of attendees, reception.
My friend who got married an year back only provided 15 photos of his marriage as it was an inter cast marriage happened in a panchayath registar office not with any relatives but few friends. His wife got PR recently even with out any questions asked, but I dont know how ........ Overall I would say provide evidences as much as you can and pray well.... If the almighty joined our dearest one to us,then he will definitely support us to live a life together.....................................

Just wanted to share one thing.. While waiting for PR to be processed, I applied for Visitor Visa for my wife and guess what, the Visa is Approved. With the same set of applications, her Visa got rejected earlier (before applying for PR). The Only additional documents we submitted for Visa are Sponsorship Approval letter and AOR2.

Those who are desperately waiting, I won't say you will get visa for sure but there are good chances. It's worth giving a try.

p.s. My PR Application is currently in AR stage.

I understand what you are going through. I am in the same boat....stressed, not able to concentrate on anything....not even getting enough sleep at night. Wish i could just go back to India and stay with my Husband but can't leave job, Financial stress is also making things worse.

Girls and Guyz, there is no point cursing NDVO. As per official timelines they have 15 months for this, but still looking at all people like us and our emotions they are working hard to get us through ASAP.

Also, they have not stopped or have not put any condition for the sponsor to travel to India and stay with their spouse. Its all about the sacrifice one can make for their loved ones.

My wife has left her Job and decided to stay with me in India. She wants to live the time and do the job later once we move there. But u cant say about the circumstances, I have to move to another country for a work for couple of months. We dont have a option but we have faith that we will have wonderful life together whenever we stay together.

All i want to say is stay calm and have faith. All the best to everyone

You are lucky preetinder.....wish I could do the same. i am going India but only for 3 weeks as that is max vacation days I can get.

Well I met my wife on shadi.com and then in person on our ring ceremony just a week before wedding. We were in touch for 5 months before marriage through whatsapp. I think we got lucky and got visa as well so it depends on which visa officer picks up your file and how is his mood that day lol

Ya Pamma97...same here...I met my wife on Bharat Matrimony....exchanged details(provided screenshots from our matrimony profiles). Also, PhdStream, I have provided my fb messaging screenshots...the msgs we shared while sharing contactes for first time. Also a letter from my Senior Manager that I couldn't go on honeymoon as my vacations were not extended(though I spent 4 nights with her ) and also a screenshot from my HR website showing that I changed my marital status to married alongwith other modes of communication we used. I have sent a PR application as earlier, so this time I know how to cover red flags(just to provide an explanation before a doubt springs up in visa officer mind).

Also got a help from this thread and karan_virk about some basic things...dats it
