Hi,
I am a July 2014 applicant. I live in Toronto and am sponsoring my husband who lives in Mumbai. Been married for 8 years and last Feb 2014 decided to move to Toronto after living with my husband for 7 years in India with my daughter who is also a Canadian citizen like me. Please add me to your timeline:

Visa office: NDVO
Application filed: July 25, 2014
Medicals Done: June 30, 2014
Sponsorship approval and transferred: Sept 12, 2014
File created in NDVO: Sept 25, 2014
Received an email notification from NDVO regarding PCC and landing fees, after that just waiting...

I have a question here if someone can please kindly reply to me. My husband's passport expires in Sept 15, 2015. I know currently Delhi is touching on June applicants. Should I ask my husband to apply for a new passport and to get the PR visa the passport needs a validity of 6 months and if he receives a PPR by Feb/March his passport will still be valid but till March. Does applying for a new passport now cancels out his old passport and will that delay our file as on his application his current passport number is given. Please help!

yes he can renew his passport. In these days it's very quick .use tatkal way.. and submit old passport xerox with new one..

I have questions, I changed my job last month. Do I need to submit my new job letter.
sometimes I think it's required.Sometimes I think its not required now because cic already determined my eligibility. Now only my hubby's process is left. I mean only indian verification is left. Please suggest me what should I do? bit confused....

Hello everyone, sorry if I am on your post or question. I really dont know how to post my questions in this thread.
I am a Canadian PR since 2012.
I have submitted my application to sponsor my wife at CPC mississauga on september 2014 and got approved by october 30th as a sponsor.
So my first stage of process has been done and the file has been forwarded to New Delhi visa office.
Now I am planning to go India to visit my wife for 6 weeks from next month. Does that have any effect in my application....? After reading all the comments seen in the websit I am really scared and confused. The company which I work for allowed me to take such a long vaccation.
Would somebody stop me to re- enter canada after my vaccation as my sponsorship application 2 stage is on process ......?
Would that bea good idea if i carry a letter with me saying that i am allowed to take such a long vaccation and join will join my work after my vaccation.....?
Please help me i am really scared and confuses about what shoul i do or what not.......????

no dude, I wish I could get vacations.. it's good to meet your spouse. and submit your proofs to NDVO. to visit again it makes your case strong as well. no harm. One of my friend also visit...Dont be scared. just enjoy enjoy... If I get vacation,I would be on 9th cloud.. lolzzz . dont delay go go go go and enjoy your lovey dubby time ....

I dont think you have to submit job letter if you change your job after your eligibility is approved. As long as you have a job then cic doesn't have any issue. But if you want to send just to keep your mind to ease then do so.

no, it won't. If he got visa as well they won't give you on expired passport.they will ask you for renewd passport..do it asap

Kamila seems like you need to pack your bags now. Nothing to worry about. What interview? Your timeline says they requested for your PPR. Sometimes they don't update on time in ecas. Stay happy and wish u a very happy married life

Thanks anuaru that's good to know. My husband already has an appointment to renew his passport on Jan 29. He will get it done and send copies of both his old and new passport to New Delhi.

oopps okay i've edited..no ppr yet but i checked ecas and it has changed to inprocess
