I wanna say OMG a million times right now. Thank God! It is a DM. Just checked ecas and was stunned to see a change from 'In-process' (IP since Sept 2013).
Thanks for the help, support and light banter. Waiting for the passport now and getting my bags ready.

For those who don't know:
I am a March 2013 applicant
App filed - March 2013
PPR- May 2013, sent June 2013
IP - since September 13th
Re-meds - April 25th, 2014 - done on April 30th, 2014
DM - June 12th, 2014

Long IP because of fingerprint checks for RCMP and re-medicals.

Wish you all a speedy Visa. I understand the frustration, helplessness and pain that goes along with this wait. Just remember that nothing is constant and this too shall pass.

Hi guys...count me in as well ...sorry I was not touch with you guys for a long time...here are some updates on my file:

I got 'IN PROCESS' on 24 April and same day I got email for medical re-assessment. I thought now it would be over soon but again on 27 May I got email to send new PCC for New Zealand....now it will take 2-3 months more I guess..

PCC for New Zealand?? Didn't you submitted it initially when submitting the application or did you visited New Zealand again after you submitted your application??

Hello friends,

I'll soon be filing for my spousal sponsorship and After reading an abundance of posts from both Inland and outland applicants.
I've find out that Inland applications have a significantly larger wait time as compared to outland.
Though my better half is already in Canada but I feel Outland filing to be the best bet for us. (I always thought Inland to be better)

Hi! I submitted my file in aug 2012 from India. I was in Canada with my husband n was pregnant too. But my consultant advised To go for outland spplication. My visa was expiring n i came back in july 2012. Here aft 3months i was blessed with a son. He got his citizenship n m still waiting for bàckground checks to be done. This separation from my husband kills me ever second. Soon my son will be 2 year old n my process is not rnding. If u love ur partner dont go for outland process. I regret for the day i left him in Canada

PCC for New Zealand?? Didn't you submitted it initially when submitting the application or did you visited New Zealand again after you submitted your application??

Let me explain...NDVO does not accept PCC from NZ...we need to sign consent form (giving authority to NDVO)
and that is valid only for 6 months...I've sent that consent form initially with my application but that has been expired. Now NZ authorities asked NDVO to send new form...so I received email from NDVO to send new signed consent form...and NDVO will send it to NZ....long waiting game again

Let me explain...NDVO does not accept PCC from NZ...we need to sign consent form (giving authority to NDVO)
and that is valid only for 6 months...I've sent that consent form initially with my application but that has been expired. Now NZ authorities asked NDVO to send new form...so I received email from NDVO to send new signed consent form...and NDVO will send it to NZ....long waiting game again

Seriously!! Jab tak yeh log hamari file kholte hain sab documents expire ho jaate hain....

well I read w2e's struggle...this kind of carelessness on the part of NDVO is unforgiving but there is no choice....also guys, I am told to refrain sending them e-mails again and again otherwise they get annoyed....e-mailing them only when some docs have to be sent or some extremely pertinent enquiry....we know they are humans as well and they have lot of pressure if anything goes wrong with their background checking and stuff....but at the same time what sucks is their non-uniformity and lack of details....
RK SANDHU, its unfair what they r doing to u....But don't trust these MPs....Also I am told if you have a child born during process, and both the principal applicant and child are in India, they take time..i don't know how far such kind of things are true...actually, no one knows abt visa process, ppl keep on predicting....but stay hopeful dear, next week NDVO has all for RK sandhu....tc

In any process when some one is doing a work, in between if another individual asks it's progress the doer gets annoyed/irritated but this can not change it's process time. If they have a separate section to attend to enquiry they take out the file inform the progress and keep it back in its place. This should no way affect the progress and I feel the second system is in vogue in NDVO and not the first system followed in India.
Shortage of manpower is common in any government establishment so when enquiry is less they can attend to updating the information frequently.
The child born in India if Indian Citizen then the process for PR of the Child has to be obviously started. This is another waiting game to be experienced.
Let us Pray every one gets the visa faster.

I think all the members who sent a consent form to NDVO after expiry of six months to send fresh signed consent form. Each country has different rules we are forced to learn all these rules. Oh God Make NDVO wiser to identity the genuine family visa cases and put them in fast track to make the families happy.

Can you explain the finger print check .... why they need ur finger print in the first place...
