if my timeline is a guide, you will see something happening all of a sudden - applied may 2013; waited until apr 2014 to know that interview recommended (till then 4 times notes showed 'nothing started'); may 2014 interview and now waiting for visa....it took 11 months to see 'interview recommended'...so if you have not applied for notes to see if an interview has been recommended or not then do so quickly..otherwise wait for that one day for things to change dramatically...

u hv shared one link for how to read notes, i am reading them and under "eligibility- eligibility assessment1- due date (1 year from when the app was filed) deadline"
my due date is july9 2014...now my qus is what this date means. pls help

whew...what a relief...I thought people will be knocking on my door carrying pitchforks and demanding me to come out for giving wrong advice. So your notes said interview recommended, interview happened, then status changed to 'in process' just like my partner's.....same here no updates still 'in process'..NDVO operates like a malfunctioning robot. Unpredictable. Some people with travel history get status changed in 30 days some with the same travel history take 60 days so it is not travel history that delays the status change. So, why some people wait for more than two months for status change to 'DM' and some get it in 3 weeks? it is easier to explain about bermuda triangle or what is black hole (no, not the place like NDVO where visa files disappear) than explain how ND visa office works...

True Kumar!! Most of the cases after remedicals got their visas in 2 months time in this forum. For me it has been more than 2 months after remeds and still no updates. MP said a month back that file is in background checks. I wonder what are they checking....I have done GCMS 2 days back. But its gonna come after a month so another wait. I sometimes feel I am born only to wait.... MP's secretary said now she will enquire only when 13 months time is over and that will be in july..

a possibility - you have been slated for interview (when was the last time you had applied for notes? your last notes was before april then you should apply for a new one) or not (one forum member waited for 11 months to find out status changed to 'in process' didn't have an interview and then within couple of months after that he/she got visa). Your MP might help.

It is also possible that your medicals expired in april and there is no urgency to call you and ask you to leave in two weeks before the expiry date. Maybe they take their own time since there is no urgency to issue a visa. You will be asked to go for remedicals, I think.

yes i hv applied for 2nd notes on same day i got previous one ie 22may. yeah u may be right either interview or no urgency in my case

Rome was not built in one day and shah jehan took 22 years to build taj mahal...and I am glad this forum is anonymous and you don't know where i live ..otherwise you will be throwing brick at my house (by the way it takes longer time to plan and execute and not done in one day)..so wait and then you will enjoy the sweet victory of having visa after a long wait....i have no idea how things work at NDVO.. some people are lucky and get their visa like clockwork (everything on time) and some people wait forever....some visa officers work sincerely while some are there just to taste office offered samosas and sweets and Friday's party time....

This country does not even care about its citizens, how can it care about new immigrants

This is very disappointed that still many August applicants are still waiting..I'm soo much de-motivated, 10th months is already passed and still Waitng.. No IP or DM..

being 28 Oct applicant, when it is advisable to apply for notes? Applying now, might show initial review pending I guess...
