files are not processed sequentially.....if you are lucky you get your file way ahead before others even though you filed after them....yes it does not makes sense to people who had applied in March/April 2013 either....

We are all in the same boat as the March/April applicants that have not received their visa's. But, you must know how frustrating it is to watch . . .

Hi guys I am one of the few july applicants waiting for my turn to get visa....should I go for mp inquiry...how long does it take...what Is the procedure nd requirements...I am 2nd july applicant who is really frustrated with the way ndvo decides which file to open nd which not....in canada u get services in the queue or line...but really mad how they cant follow their own rules....

You should go for an MP enquiry and ask about your file. Hope they will help you too. You have to contact your Mp and ask to make an inquiry about your file. They will tell you what to do. It will take a week and half to get the response from MP. Stay strong. You will hear good news before medicals expire. just wait for few days to hear from NDVO. Be positive! All the best!

My wife's e-cas status is now "In Process". Considering her remedical is being processed in Chandigarh, hopefully we get to hear some good news real soon.

hey guyz... i applied for gcms but today my hubby the gcms application back.. saying its incorret but we checked it was correct... now 2 things on ma mind they wantedly not giving or we might know d reason for interview thts y.. wht d hell is on thr mind? r they gng to refuse ma application?

Thats so weird if everything is so correct. This is so crazy how they sent you this. You should tell your hubby to call CIC about it and MP enquiry. Dont worry they cant refuse your application. Stay strong and you will be fine with it. Dont think too much.

I think you should inform them. Send them an email along with proof of citizenship as an attachment..

Hubby just got a call from the MP office....said she called them and was told theat my background checks are still going on and they have no record of re-meds mail that was sent, it shouldn't have been sent yet!

Aso that she can contact them next after may 15th!

Now what am i supposed to do? Also how did I get IP when if my backgrounds are not done yet?! This is really weird and getting beyond ridiculous now!

Thats soo insane. You have to wait until they contact them after may 15th. im sorry about it but im sure you will get good news on that day. I know you cant wait to see your loved one. Be patient for sometimes and be strong dva. Its good thing you got in IP. Wish you a speedy visa!

Ok. But how did you know that your sponsorship was approved? Did you or your lawyer receive a mail or did you just look at the update online?

as a sponsor, my lawyer was notified by email that my sponsorship has been approved (within 30 days of receiving my application they notified my lawyer) and the file has been transferred to NDVO for deciding on sponsored person's eligibility....that was the only email my lawyer got from CIC and then my sponsorship application went into black hole, NDVO's 'bermuda triangle' and I received no other notifications from them (no passport request or anything else). I checked my ecas everyday once an hour and after 10 months later I find interview has been scheduled (i ordered notes three times to find out why NDVO has not sent me passport request).

And i presummed that ADR would lead to no interview....but with NDVo....kuch bhi ho sakta hai i suppose...

But kumar, what about the situation of my re-meds....mail says within 30 days else refused nonsense....MP says CIC hasnt sent...what am i to make of this...n wht do i do now?

rarely (lucky ones) people get into 'DM' within a week after status was changed to 'IP'. I have to check spreadsheet to figure out how long it takes from 'in process' to 'decision made'. Did they ask you to do remedicals? if they have, then do it otherwise they may waive your remedicals requirement (depends on when you get your decision made status..if it is two months later after your medicals expiration they might ask you to do medicals again) Almighty NDVO has the power to extend your medicals for six months but rarely do so

Did CIC call you for the interview without requesting passport first?

no calls for me from NDVO as my lawyer had not entered my number in the application..and she did not get calls from NDVO either..first I found out interview was required from notes and then from ecas about the date of the interview..my lawyer sent emails twice to NDVO asking if an interpreter would be provided or not..then responded that interview is on may 6, 2014 at 11.15 and it is sponsor's responsibility to find one if it is not hindi or punjabi....then i had to ask couple of forum members to send me attached list of interpreters that they got along with their interview email and had to find one...so far no official interview letter or calls from NDVO....
