Quick question:
How long does it take for the Chandigarh office to stamp the visa after the passport is given? I was called to bring the passport over by hand and was asked to promise I would travel within a month as my medical expires.... Wondering how long it will take to get the shiny visa...

got my notes today; very strange only eligibility Passed ((criminality, security, Medical : not started !!!!!!)) any ideas how long it might take to complete criminality, security, Medical check. medical expiring soon on February.

you are a December applicant and it is way tooooooo early to apply for notes unless if you don't get your passport request by March....if you order one all it shows is 'nothing started'....but if you want to help Canadian economy to improve, you can spend your $5....

lol thanks yea i figured it was too soon to bother ordering notes.. I just thought that maybe Null meant our application had been cancelled or something like that.. haha ok thank god. I love you guys, everytime i freak out someone here calms me down haha

My status is also same as you but some date diff IP on 7nov and medical expire on 20april

I believe there is a gap of one month from the date they processed your request for notes and the date you received your notes..so they could have started background checking by the time you got your notes report....how long? million dollar question...I believe they have outsourced the investigation business to private companies.....it depends on how long you lived/stayed in other countries and how many countries you have lived for more than 6 months....if everything is done before your medicals expiring date and if it is too close then they might extend medicals expiration date or ask you to pack and go before the expiry date....

according to notes file has been updated by sm 01395 and location is also sm01395 on december 13,2013
and medical is valid till 17 april acc to notes,but my medical was done on march 6 so they extended the validity as well

I have already submitted ppt on early january(got a call from ndvo to send ppt), medical is supposed to expire on mid of February.may be i will get ppt before med. expire. Again who knows ?? we can just hope for the best.

those of us who have ordered notes (especially May applicants) find it odd that they haven't started anything on our files...good thing they have extended your medical expiration date... I hope it does not mean that they can delay processing until April....

My medical date hasn't been extended. It expires in March...
