My lawyer called me this mrng and he said
Dat he recieved n email from NDVO nd they
Asked to provide them divorce petition and
Hubby's sister's DOB.

they responded to my email which i had sent on 15th November...so this wasn't for the call...I haven't got a call back anyway its weekend for them...lol holiday time

hubbys sisters date of birth ? how does that matter to them? weird.....send them asap and wait for 1-2 months after 30 days is up.....everyone who is divorced generally gets these ADR's ... that's what I have noticed...even if u sent it they again ask u for it !!

when did u get the email ? and did u get 30 days ? did u get petition only or even judgement and certificate ?

Petition... I didn't get 30 days........I have to send it within 60 days

that's crazy normally is 30 days alifk and you both got 60 days ... otherwise mostly everyone got 30 days

What!! Now that's silly! Why would they want husband's sister's DOB? I think NDVO is losing a few screws ???

Is there anyone who got interview date after getting ADR..?? Or we get one of them ??? Means ADR or interview????? :'(

I figure that NDVO ask for ADR because they want to make sure that the divorce is legit. Also, maybe they think that once you have had a divorce, you are likely to divorce again and so they really want to see if there might type some link that might affect immigration procedures. And that they are hoping to get more time to scrutinize the case to make sure that the case isn't a scam, such as where you get married and then divorce after spouse gets PR and then wait and then get married again. And that the documents aren't forged or something.

I think that even if an ADR was sent to the applicant, they can still have an interview if the marriage doesn't seem genuine or there are other red flags like age difference and quick wedding, etc.

But as I have seen on ss .... The applicants who got ADR ,,, they didn't have to go for interview..... M I r8?????

they ask for divorce petition/application coz it has details of children if u had from your previous marriage....its just to confirm that....if all is ok with the petition and the main application u have sent at Mississauga (they cross check).....then 80% no interview.... basically ADR saves u from having an interview if everything seems correct according to them....the only dis-advantage is that your file does get delayed if they give u 30 days or 60 days your file will be looked only after that date is over can they write the due date after the time limit is over and if u refuse to sent the document on time then definitely its an interview !!

What's happening with May month's applicants?? I'm a 28th May applicant and and I don't see any updates yet.. What's happening with the NDVO?? Will I get to see any change in my status within this month or not?? It still says Application Received..!!
