Hi All,
I have two quaieries while filling Background Declaration form under Q7 about Education

1)In 10th class there is no particular field of study,so what should I mention in last column of Field of Study relating to 10th Class studies

2) There is a gap year in my studies as I was preparing for MBA from 2004-2005.No certificate or diploma was issued by coaching institute.Though I had mentioned Prepatory in field of Study but I am not sure about it
Please suggest

Thanks Myrah! All of you motivate me to do much more for this forum, and I wish I had more free time to do just that. But more than that, I wish I was an NDVO visa officer so that I could stamp DMs all day long as quickly as I could for all my friends in the forum here, including you.

Well for 10th class field of study, you can just mention the subjects that are in your marksheet.
And for the gap in the study I don't really have an idea on this.

his box is full to send a PM..just add general if you don't have any specific field of study..show all the gaps in years...I think they are just looking at your years of study and degrees/certificates and don't care about relevancy to family visa..if it had been work or study visa it would be different there courses, degrees matter

There is no income requirement for spousal visa. So as long a su r not at risk of going for social asssistance and haven't taken assistance in the last 12 months they don't care. Proof: Full time students get approved as sponsors with no issues.

The problem is whether they would doubt your intention to come back to Canada with wife once u get visa. For that u have to show "residential ties" - same like for tax purposes, having a job offer here, return ticket booked or a rental agreement etc are considered. If I were u, I would just stay quiet and not worry about it. U r already approved as sponsor, so they r not going dig deep unless u bring it up.

hi,i am may applicant.our ecas shows application received and medical received.now my question is that i am in india visiting my wife since september and will go back to canada in december.does anyone knows that i m worried that its going to effect or not on my application process.i need help plz

I second that view...no income requirement I have known a lawyer who successfully got a visa for an unemployed person who lived out of a dumpster (if any dumpster living unemployed person who wants to get a permanent visa let me know i will provide the name of the lawyer but it would cost you and i take credit cards)...as for intention to come back to Canada it is only for Canadian citizens who want to live abroad and apply for spousal visa..I am a PR holder and moved to India until this insane process is over. CIC is satisfied that I qualify as a sponsor and I would abide by the law to support PR sponsored person for three years and so why should NDVO or CIC worry about whether I should hold a job or not or live in a particular country or not...just lay low and if interview happens this would work out in your favor as it shows your commitment is strong..

I'm super happy that May files have also started moving to IP. So much to anticipate ..
Also, i hope and pray that older files from 2012 and early 2013 get attention too !
