OMG we got some 103 DM's/IP on the ss......this is too good .....ndvo is goin full speed those who are still waiting dont worry each and everyone of us will get the visa soon or later........ndvo reached 29th april applicant......soon may will start and by decemeber 2013 all back log till may shld be completed .......happy days are here again yupieeeeeeeeee ;D ;D ;D

Hi Everyone,

I am indian & my gf is canadian. She wants to sponser me. We are going to be married in November. As we are from different religion ( i m hindu & she is christian), so my parents are against this marriage.

Her family is really supportive for our marriage & my gf will be converting to hinduism after marriage.

Is there any red flag situation for my case ? What documents we will need to submit to prove that our case is genuine - like marriage photos, chat logs, call logs, letters from friends etc ?.

Hello Ramandra,

Your case is almost exactly the same than mine was. You have a potential 2 red flags. Being from 2 different religion is one and as your family might not attend the wedding ceremony is another one. On my side, my in-laws finally accept the fact and they were present for the marriage, however my family couldn't travel to India(they were supporting us strongly though).Those 2 red flags are leading us to getting an interview and we are still waiting for our date.

Ensure you get as much as possible of evidences proving your relationship. Have a traditional Hindu ceremony and take many pictures of the ceremony and of your guests attending the ceremony. In addition of your hindu ceremony have it registered in the court under Special Marriage Act (NOT under Hindu Marriage Act). If you parents cannot be present ensure your girlfriend family, a lots of friends and also any relatives not against your marriage attend the ceremony. Also ensure you have all bills for everything(some hotels are having tendency to offer lower price without bill... Be ready to pay more money but have all your bills proving everything(as much as possible ask them to write your both names on any bills). If your girlfriend can spend many months with you in India after marriage that is also helping. If not you can have her coming back to visit you later during the process.

Dont be disheartened...NDVO is really going by the time they received your Passport .If someone's passport has been with them since March or april....they will get the DM before May and June passports...thats for sure.

@ myrah..its the same thing with you too i think...ur passport was requested late...i see u sent it in July....so couple of weeks more for june/july people..

But one thing is for sure...NDVO is working fast on our files..
