when i check app status wth my hubby UCI no. it shows "APPLICATION RECEIVED".. And when i check wid my UCI no. it shows
"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons........."

what does it mean???

You need to enter your full name. I know on the page it saying enter your "Surname/Family Name" mostly we all enter our last name but it dosnt work u have to enter your full name then it will show u ur page and u can use any thing ur UCI number or your Application number.

legally you cant send indian passport to outside india or from any other country to India. Even It might me risky for you to live in US without passport.

NDVO demand passport very early in spouse case.

One thing you can do, Whenever u get Passport request you may request NDVO to submit passport later on or when they made final decison on ur file.

After decison they will send passport to indian address.

Legally you can send indian passport to outside india. but you need legal status for more then 6 months from the country means valid work permit or permanent residency holder. you have to inform the CIC when you are making the application or if any Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number) after the application before send your passport.

nope... when i check with file no. it shows the same...

Hey guys,

Any idea when we will get the visa issue resolved. I am getting nervous here :'( and inpatient of waiting.

Its been a bad week last week of nothing getting done. Should I fax them saying my wife's medical is expiring because I don't want to re-do her medical. I just want her to get the visa :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ .

I can do the fax for free.

Hello aLL - Urgent help and answers required!!

My wife had submitted my sponsorship application a while ago and it was approved and we were waiting for the pp to be sent (no news yet). But the situation has come that I need to travel to US for my work (from my company) for an about 1 year. My questions are

1. Is it ok for me to travel to US at this period of time?
2. If I travel can I se d the passport to NDVO from US location where I will be residing.
3. If the answer yes, Can I enter Canada from US once the visa is stamped


Am so worried and confused not knowing what to do, whether I should travel to US or stay here in India. Request anyone of you to answer my questions ASAP to take any decision please

The first thing your wife needs to change your current address with the work permit letter including valid H-1B visa copy by fax or mail.
it is ok to travel usa after notify the CIC. They will ask your USA address and you can travel from USA to Canada after your visa stamped.
