Tenzin,

The medical exam for the Canadian Immigration has been upgraded to the e-medical recently. There is no change in the medical test but the difference is only in the method of sending the Medical Report to the concerned visa office. Before that they use to send the Medical Report by courier which has been replaced by online method which is linked with their GCMS 4.0 System.

There was fixed fees of Rs. 3,100/- all over india. Maybe they might have increased now. You can call and find it out about their latest fees. You can find the Panel Physician by clicking the following link :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=1995&CountryName=India

Yes you need to book an appointment with the Panel Physician. The following documents you will require for doing your medical exam.

1. Original Current valid Passport.
2. Two set of photocopies of your Passport's first two pages and last two pages.
3. 8 Photographs according to the CIC's instructions.

According to the new procedure, the Appendix C is not required to be filled anymore.

All the BEST,
GULZAR !!!

Hi everyone,

Seriously what a relief after sending the initial application to mississauga. I feel I can breathe relaxed now :)

Medicals done : 5 Feb 2013
Date packet sent : 21 Feb 2013.

Keeping my fingers crossed.
I am from quebec so had to pass the quebec immigration procedures as soon as I get directions.
Anyone know how long will it take for quebec to process the application for CSQ for my wife?

Good to everyone who applied for new delhi this 2013.
Regards.

Mississauga received my Application this morning via Expresspost. Now I just have to sit tight and wait for the AOR.

How does CIC communicate AOR?
Do they also let us know when they actually received the application packet?

Is there any link where we can check the status?

Please throw your pointers.
Thanks

Check out the New Delhi 2012 thread. There are a lot of people (myself included) who applied in late 2012 and have had the sponsorship approved, but are still awaiting a passport request. Many people think the New Delhi visa office has changed their procedures so that they only request a passport closer to the time the PR will be approved.

It depends on what the sponsor put on the application, if they used their email address then CIC will send an email with an AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt). If you only used a mailing address, then a letter will be sent. But CIC will definitely confirm that they received the packet. The timeline varies, but it can be anywhere from 2 days to 3 weeks after the packet is delivered.

I am not sure how you mailed your application to them, but I did it through Canada Post Expresspost and I got a tracking number, and it just tells me that the package was mailed successfully. I won't hear from CIC for another week or two.

Hope this helps.

We also have the Wakf board marriage certificate, it has been registered in Hyderabad, because it had to be for me to receive my PIO (persons of Indian Origin) with the Indian governement. I didn't send the booklet either because it was completely in Urdu. I didn't think I had to translate that.
It is a relief to know that the Wakf issued certificate is valid. Seriously was losing sleep wondering...

Thanks mate.
I sent it via canada post Express post and I can track it to be more confident.

So when do we actually get on the EAS to see more details?
After the file has been transferred to New Delhi?

Thanks,
Mickey
