10 years gap might be the reasons for the interview. you should stress the fact that 10 years is not a concern for you or your religion or culture. No worries. Take all the proofs, any recent phone bills, gifts. You will get the visa right after the interview. Trust me.

Guys, need some help anyone who is good at reading GCMS notes help me.
Eligibility:

updated date : 2013/07/02
Status: Recommended Pass
Status date : 2013/07/02
Duedate : 2014/03/13
What is the meaning of due date here, are they going to touch my file again in 2014 march, Now I am worried and nervous, please some one let me know.

Hey Roam! Couple of suggestions for you.
1) Assessments (in the second/third page) gives the gist (Overall status of Eligibility, Security, Criminality, Medical etc)
2) Notes at the end of the report (in the last page) would mention about the inteview waiver (since you have recommended pass, there shoud be some notes about it there) and any other important updates

Don't worry about the due date, as it seems like a data for their admin activities.
Btw, congrats for the recommended pass under eligibility.

don't worry saniali...I think decisions have already been made it is not an interview at all but just a formality to finalize, check id's, see you in person and congratulate..and stamp your visa rt thr...all will be ok just trust your relationship

Don't worry and yes this can be the possible reason. Just have some more patience and get ready with more and more proofs, at least now you know status of your file. I know this waiting time is getting harder and harder but everything will be fine.....

hi everyone,

update from my side got my wifes gcms today...

Its kinda of really frustrating to see nothing has happened yet. Criminality,Security,Medical,Eligibility (nothing started) even in ecas medicals received update missing.
Its 5th month now, but somehow it reached Delhi very late. From sponsor approval 15th May the file reached Delhi in the 2nd week of june.

Notes generated date 14th August.

Same problem.. i looked into my notes.. nothing has been started yet. In notes section i could see that they were not able to associate the e-up front med notification to medical assesment , VO to review.

i don't know wat to do.. should i send my medical check up receipt once again ? ??? :-\ :'(

strike was not in mississauga if i am not wrong... anyways no idea whats happening... i guess you had medicals updated in your profile but in my case even thats not there...these are few alarming things

I had called cic during my missing file....and they said its coz of strike anyways I don't trust anyone of them coz each said a different story till I filled a complain and then they transferred my file...just want the bblooooody visa now !!

I been through same..it took more thn 2 months to find my old file and by the time i sent them the new file...

I feel your pain, Saniali! Try to stay positive!
The bright side is that you are aware now that there might be an interview, so you can focus all your energy now to get prepared for it.
There's 50+ possible questions somewhere in the forum that I came across before, for which you can prepare answers and get ready.
For a straightforward cases, the interview shouldn't be hard - just normal verification questions.
If you think there's slight complications in your case, you can take this oppurtunity to prepare and address those concerns.
If not, you can prepare as an overall effort! Just a few more weeks to the normal process, so don't worry! Good luck!

My husband smokes and he got his visa a few weeks ago. It certainly is not what is holding up getting your visa. Though my husband will probably quit when he gets here when he sees how expensive it is, plus it is socially unacceptable to smoke here in Canada nowadays.

but in my medical doctor asked me that do u have any health related prblm or do u use drugs just before medical i said Nooo..well i don't use drugs but still smoke the cigrt i didn't told her(Doctor) thats why i worried...

I think I would send the receipt again with all the aplication details.
Just in case if they have missed it, they have another one now.
