I don't think if we get our documents notarised from Delhi speedy our visa process. If the case is fake then how can this notary stamp make the case strong. If one provide each evidence for his proof that makes the case strong.

I prepared my file myself and got the stage 1 cleared just in 18 days. Visa officer don' t see from where the docs been notarised. They only see how much the case is genuine.

Hi Satya,

(Other Family Class) Applicants are also welcome to the Forum !!! But I can help them only in Spouse Category which I have studies properly because I don't want to give any wrong piece of advise if I don't know the answer for other Family Class Category. But if other members can help other it would be great too.

There is a major technical issue with CIC website, they are working hard to fix it as soon as possible. But they are not sure when. I called and confirmed from CIC Call centre, few Applicants can still use the E-CAS to find their status.

Yes you are absolutely right. It makes no difference where ever you do your true copy. It can't affect the processing time. The NDVO needs all the photocopies of the documents attached with Application must be attested True Copies.

Keep it up. Try to help everyone whatever way possible by you. And God will help you to achieve what you want. It is Law of Universe (Law of Attraction) !!!

Unsolicited advice - Whatever you do always remember that your passport (current and old) will eventually go to Visa Office and they will verify against the stamps for any international travel that she may have done.

It may look like a hassle now to get police certificates from different countries (if that's the case) , but misrepresentation can be very costly

I agree with you 100%. Never hide anything in your application. Always be honest. And you will get through very easily and smoothly.

I hope KARAN has already given you best answer. Sorry for the delay, I was away from my Laptop.

But in your case I think you are talking about only ONE COUNTRY.

So you have to get PCC from the Current residence of the Applicant.

It has been interesting to read all the different immigration stories in this forum. So I decided to share mine as well.

I went to India to get engaged on June 26th, 2012 and to make the file process quicker, I went ahead and registered my marriage in court on the same date to get marriage certificate. Being a Canadian citizen myself, I started organizing my documents after I arrived in Canada from my trip to India. My wife did the same after my return. We got all the documents organized (certificates and whatnot) and sent out our package to CIC in Mississauga on Oct 13th, 2012. They received our package on the Oct 17th, 2012 and I received an email stating the acknowledgement of our application. At this time, I was thinking that Canadian process might take a couple months, but I received my approval on the Nov 5th, 2012 which was quite fast and the file was transferred to New Delhi, India in a matter of days. Meanwhile, I went to India for our traditional marriage ceremony which was on Dec 23rd, 2012. While I was in India, I received AOR from New Delhi stating that they require my wife's passport. The AOR letter was dated Nov 21st, 2012.. but I received the letter via e-mail on the Dec 10, 2012. I sent out my wife's new and old passport to the CHC in New Delhi on Dec 14, 2012 and now just waiting for the wife to get her visa. So far, the process has been painless and quite fast in my opinion.. I am just not sure how long I will have to wait till the dear wife can re unite with me here in Canada

I have gone through thousands of POSTs of Senior members and learnt that every case is unique and NDVO is working on the basis of the Guidelines. They all follow the rules and norms. So don't be confused. You can't make the process faster by following the procedure of other members. Every Case is different.

Just have patience and God will surely bless you with speedy visa process. Just have faith in God and yourself too. Believe yourself.

Can you list, if possible, the supporting documents that you and your wife submitted. I know CIC have a document and forms checklist but just asking as your process seems very fast as compare to others. Your list might be helpful for others in the future.

We got married in Dec 2012 and i and my hubby was all set to submit forms but new updates are emphasizing new applicants to submit new 2D forms, so eagerly waiting for it and if any queries i will definitely post in this forum .....

Hi Yogeetha,

No need to wait for anything. New Forms are already available on the CIC website. You can click the following link to download the new Forms and Guide. There is one form each for Applicant and Sponsor which has to be validated after completely filling it by clicking the Validate Form. The Bar Codes will be generated on both the forms automatically but you have to connected to the internet at that time. Read both the guides, everything is mentioned clearly.

I have already replied to other post regarding doing notary only from New Delhi. I am glad that you are lucky to have a friend who is helping you in whole procedure. But doing Notary in New Delhi can't speed up the process. That is my opinion, no hard feeling please.

I'm a canadian citizen and in process of doing a 2013 outland application for my wife at the New Delhi office. She got her new passport in <1 week via tatkaal but it's taken up to 3+ weeks to get the PCC from the passport office, due to delays of her file. Hopefully I'll submit the application next week, i've paid all the fees upfront and have all the documents in order.

We thought of her applying for a tourist visa but dropped the idea as I soon learned her chances of getting it are close to 0% as they simply reject it on the grounds that she should wait to get her PR.

I've got a close friend of me guiding me through this as he also did the same and got his spouse to Canada in just 4 months. His recommendation is to get all his/her documents attested through a notary in New delhi. It makes it easier to verify and speeds things up at the New Delhi office, though each case is different. Can't wait for my wife to join me here!
