I lived in India for 5 years. I found life way more difficult and way more stressful there than I do in Canada. I think if you are a millionaire life is easier no matter where you live.
Though it is more expensive to live here, you get paid fairly for the job you do. You aren't expected to work 16 hours a day without extra pay. The employee has rights and isn't treated like a slave.
My husband was expected to work 12 -14 hours at his job without compensation. He worked so hard with very little to show for it at the end of the month. That life was stressful.
Well it all depends upon luck and opportunity and what God has in store for you. People struggle everywhere, regardless of the place you end up being in.
I agree with you that is much harder in India because there are no opportunities, there are opportunities here but it's hard to grasp that opportunity here (speaking by experience).
Anyways, it's all up to God and you can hope, pray and work hard at the end of the day only.
But you do need 2 good incomes to have a decent enjoyable life in Canada if you want to provide for your kids comfortably.
1 income is a big burden on the guy/girl, it becomes a penny pinching situation.
It all depends on your lifestyle and how you want to live...
