So, yesterday I got my visa.
I took me a total of 14 months since application.
All in all, Delhi did a good job with respect to my special requests and I'm pretty happy with their work.
Of course, the wait was long, but I knew it was going to take this much.

Special Request 1: Want to keep passport in hand, need to travel for business.
Delhi: No problem, send only when we ask.

Special Request 2: Please don't issue me a visa too soon, having a baby in Sep 2014.
Delhi: Said will issue in Dec considering mine and baby's postpartum period. ' In Process' since Aug 2014, probably visa would've been issued in Sep 2014.

Special Request 3: Please issue visa in Beijing. Difficult to travel to India with an infant hardly 3 months old.
Delhi: No problem, send your passport to Beijing.

Special Request 4: Baby Canadian, needs Canadian Passport issued.
Beijing: Baby's Canadian passport issued and sent in one week.

Special Request 5: Stamping Visa in Beijing.
Beijing: only two days to send passport, stamp visa and receive it back.

Hope we all can say the same about ndvo..it's not that I have anything against them even they are humans but they should be a little more efficient and give visas on first come first basis rather than skipping files..congratulations..

Even I have some requests..
Request 1: please issue me a visa ASAP as me and my wife are freaking out and want to be wd each other soon.
Request 2: issue me a visa wherever possible and I vl travel to that country to get it stamped in my pp.
Request 3: even some of us wants to start family soon so please listen to our prayers.
Request 4: do u even consider requests?
Request 5: hello is it me who you looking for?

hmmm...if visa officers give in to all your requests (or anyone else) they might appear to be human and that is no fun in the job...

Hi everyone just a quick question to ppl who attended interviews, wot are we suposse to wear suite and tie or just formal pls advise

formal or informal does not matter..it is the interviewer whose attitude towards you and your case that matters...one forum member who went for her interview had husband's name tattooed on her arm and that impressed the visa officer...not suggesting you to do the same

I did MP inquiry and this is what I got today by email. "In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with this application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case."

Does it mean there is a long wait after this???? I have completed my 15 months last month

Thanks in notes they have said intended occupation business is THT red flag too ? Me n my spouse were plannig to do business so we wrote Tht in form .

For me they are doing background cheks since September and application is in process until now let's wait little bit more may be they will do something in new year for sure ....
They would be fresh enough after long holiday to clear files on fast pace and issue visas...

this is not 2013 applicants topic anymore this look like a background check I am also in the same boat almost six months passed still they are doing background check this is very very long wait for us
