i am so surprised how rigid the gov is..$280 million loss in tourism only. how much loss from study permit..haw can the gov handle such situation. it should have either agreed or fired them all a month ago

Strike can end tomorrow only if government accepts the demands of PAFSO.
BUt If government do not accept their demands and accepts the offer of arbitration instead, strike won't end but visa officers will start working on good will basis and wait for the decision from third party.

This strike is just killing me... :'( :'( :'( :'(

Government cannot fire the employees because they are striking legally its within their rights.i agree with you that there will be huge loss to canadian economy and many sectors will suffer because of this strike.
